I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

Dear Queen R.
I have to say I'm thankful that you are no longer head of the department. I was reminded why when you came in today stating how you were changing things because you didn't feel they were organized or working. I'm sorry that things are in crisis mode and someone dropped the ball long before I was involved. I'm taking actions to prevent this for my family. It was quite unsettling to have you waltz in as if you owned the place again (or still?), thankfully the current boss is awesome, has my back, and isn't related to you.

Dear Awesome Boss,
Thanks for always listening, being willing to listen to feedback and other ideas. Please don't have QR come back. I know that the person who took her place sucks, but I don't want QR back.

Dear Current Head of Department,
I know that QR is your bff, but please I'm loving most of our team now. I do not want the team to go back to the way it was. I have a feeling that if QR comes back I'll be finding somewhere else to be.

Signed,
Cozy who's quite tired and have lots of work to do still...

I'm making calzone from scratch for dinner. The aroma of yeasty dough is wafting through the house. They'll be filled with turkey, chorizo, spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, ricotta, mozzarella, asiago, and a full ton of garlic & onion. Cannot wait to bite through the crispity crunchy outside into the tender innards. :lickout: But for now, more wine for the cook!

Ooo.... Matata! That sounds a million times better than what they're serving up at local pizza joints! :lickout:

:lickout: :cheeky:

Don't we have a "serious drooling here" emotie?

It's my first day of uni today. About 30 students are waiting outside of the lab and the teacher is already 10 minutes late. On the very first day.

Yes. To add insult to injury, none of the labs actually meet during the first week - except Biochem. Which is my ONLY class for the day.

We're now at 20+ minutes and counting...

UGH sorry but I feel that just sets the teacher up for failure- talk about frustrating! I'm sorry Ginger! Does the rule apply in NZ that if the professor is more then 15 mins late you get to leave?

I'm in Aus. :))

We may have found the source of confusion. The official uni timetable has the lab from 9-12. The class outline says 10-1.  So I guess we're meant to wait an entire hour?!

Oops I'm sorry  I was typing out an email to my younger brother asking him about NZ and then I responded to your post. I guess I still had it on the brain.

That's ok. :))

I waited 40 minutes. Then I went upstairs to the Head of School's office, his secretary made a few calls, and managed to track down the instructor. He was under the impression class was at 10, as it was the previous year. He was very apologetic and kind to me, and the lab only lasted an hour anyway (instead of three), so all was well.

My hair feels GREAT today! Frankly it doesn't LOOK so hot, but thanks to this new conditioner it FEELS awesome! I just want to sit here petting my own head... :cheeky:

That's the funny part --it's in some little "brandless" bottle I picked up in a hotel while I was auditing one of our affiliates in Indiana. I don't even know where it came from, let alone what it really is, but I'm going to dole it out in little bits for as long as it will last!

Heh, cool! Pleasant surprise conditioner. I need to make my way over to a mall to find a Body Shop. They had some olive something or other conditioner that I once used and really liked. But this was over a year ago, maybe they don't even make it anymore... It did produce the results your described though -- such softness that you kind of want to play with your own hair :cheeky:

Great phrase -- sounds like something you would get in a fortune cookie... You will soon find your hair soft due to pleasant surprise conditioner.

My mind went the opposite dirty way. But then again, it wouldn't be pleasant surprise conditioner. It would be unpleasant surprise conditioner. But I did hear that it's amazing on your skin. Not that I would ever try. Yuck.

First (and most important!) grad school app has been submitted. I could really use some PS dust!
