Awww thanks Enerchi and Classy!! We're lucky, we pounced as soon as he and Emily had their first meet and greet - we chose him for his temperament and how well they got along, but he's such a handsome guy - I'm sure he'd have been snatched up on looks alone if we'd dawdled! It really doesn't feel like we've only had him for a week... I guess it's because all the other newcomers came in as babies and needed SO much more work. Bax came pre-assembled 
My only regret is not getting a second dog months ago - but then, we wouldn't have Bax, so I guess everything really does happen for a reason

I'm sorry. I know the feeling of wanting to make a decision, but if its wrong either way I think you'll be sad. If you keep it and spend money on a setting then dont end up using that's money down the drain, if you sell it and change your mind, then that's a whole knew problem.
Have you considered a cheap from solution like a Barbara pendant?
Or set it in the most rediculously modern setting possible. Like a maevona.
Also! I ordered that marquise last week. Should be here tomorrow. It very well could be a dud but it was unbelievably cheap I had to take a chance. Return shipping is free

I hear you! I've been considering selling my engagement ring since the minute I put Poppy on my finger. I think I've only worn the other ring like 3-4 times since then. Why must we be so wishy washy?!

OMG this exactly!!!!! I love Venice and pretty much since getting her I haven't taken her off. When I have to I usually wear my sapphire stack or my small heirloom diamond that I reset into an alternate wedding set. So I do have choices. While I would love to keep the MRB and put it in a RG setting the fact remains that it will sit in my bank vault and remain unworn 99.9% of the time. Would I like to keep it sure, but I don't need it. We are moving this year and we move overseas again I probably won't be lucky enough to keep my job. To me it makes the most sensee to liquidate a ring I don't wear, but something keeps holding me back and the wishy washy- ness of the whole situation makes me want to pull my hair out.

Once you get rid of it you are done. You can't go back. If you are wishy washy just wait and see how you feel later. Regretting that you've gotten rid of something sentimental sucks because there is no way to un-do and you've got no idea when the regrets will hit. I got rid of something almost 10 years ago and just recently broke down in tears because I wished I still had it.
You can always sell it later if you decide it is really what you want to do.

Glad you're away from the bigger fires. I'm watching the news website and a wildfire monitoring site as they keep growing.
From what I see on the news, the big 50,000+ acre fire is RIGHT next to the winery we're supposed to have our wedding in just a couple of months. Thankfully across the river, but I'm still watching nervously.
