Toopatient - So true. There was a recent opinion piece published on the Washington Post about Stevie Wonder boycotting FL. The author proceeded to ask if FL was necessary, and couldn't the U.S. just be rid of the state, and that it hadn't brought anything good to the country. I wrote the Post, but never received a response. What an ignorant thing to publish. And the comments from people!!!! Pathetic.

Just looked up the FL boycott thing. How dumb can people get?!? I don't have a problem with people having different opinions -- I just wish they'd take the time to be informed!

I've got to go to the store to get some dinner stuff. I'll be sure to get some extra Florida produce! (not that hard to find as it is some of the best!)

DF --- I haven't been watching the news (except to check on wild fires) lately. I don't know who is trying to boycott FL or why, but all I can say to them is GET OVER IT
Florida has many wonderful people and contributes much good to our country and the world. If those dumb people want to boycott FL let them -- the rest of us will have much more wonderful FL products to enjoy! They don't deserve the produce, beef, entertainment, vacations or any of what makes FL great!

Tonight we went to see Chicago in concert at the Thunder Valley Casino. I loss $$$ at the baccarat table... .Chicago was one of the group that I didn't get a chance to see during the 70's when Peter Cetera was still with the group... . The last concert I attended was like 30 yrs ago. Until tonight I Never saw so many old geezers at a concert ...

I'm with you sister! Up since 12:20 am worried about DD's MRI today and now climbing on a plane... And missing her 15th birthday... I know she's in good hands but they are not me... No sleep for the stressed!

Does anyone have a diplomatic suggestion for dealing with crazy friends who had a very public breakdown?? Meaning she just let stress get to her and started to yell and curse in public- I just don't do crazy of any kind and I'm really unsure how to handle it moving forward. Ugh perhaps moving soon will just be a good reason to distance myself.

Huge forest fires 1 hr. north of me. Coupled with the smoke coming up from the Calif fires, our air quality is considered hazardous to health and we are to remain indoors as much as possible. Smoke is so thick, car headlights are necessary on the freeway in daytime. The Oregon fires will not be contained until Sept-Oct and one is expected to spread to 50,000 acres before contained.
