marymm, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
 
I am so so sorry. Losing a parent is a really unique kind of loss.

So very sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was surrounded by love and am sure she felt your presence. Take good care of yourself.
 
@marymm I’m so sorry for your tremendous loss. There aren’t apt words for losing a mom but I am thinking of you and sending virtual hugs.

A Mother is someone who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take ❤️
 
I have determined that reaching for chocolate pieces on a table 2 ft. away from me qualifies as an ab workout.

Sending gentle hugs, and condolences to you and your family, @marymm. It's a jump to a whole different space and perspective when our parents pass away. It sounds like a beautiful way for your mom to have made her transition, surrounded by her family, and all your love.
 
I’m so sorry for your loss @marymm. I hope you and your family finds peace in knowing she was surround by those she loved and those who loved her. At the end I think this is what all of us want. Sending you comfort for the days and weeks ahead.

I’m glad you had the extra added joy of seeing her excitement in designing and moving into the new home. I’m sure it was a special time for both of you. It was obvious in your posts thru the years how much you love your mom. I’m so sorry. Hugs, Callie
 
@canuk-gal - I just wanted to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our brief foray into Canada. Unfortunately we were on a mission (picking up our new trailer!) and had a couple of deadlines to meet, but we did take to do a bit of wandering and exploring in Montreal, Quebec City, and two little towns in between. We both agree we’d like to come back and take time to explore New Brunswick and Newfoundland.

How wonderful! Those cities are wonderful--and the food! ( I hope you missed the demonstrations.) At any rate Halifax is also a must see!! So much area to cover!

She's the first and probably the only. Her dad and mom want only one child and my other stepson and his fiancee have shown no inclination to have kids.

I'm not fond of children which is why I chose not to have them. Babies are great but between the ages of 3 and throughout the teen years they're not my cup of tea so I doubt I'll be getting "world's best grandma" coffee cups for Christmas in future :lol-2:

@marymm She could indeed hear your voices, and having such warmth and love surrounding her is a blessing I wish more people could have at the end.

Oh, for sure.

Once upon a time, I found the most perfect jeans (for me), and even though they were about $200 a pair, I decided that since they were the perfect fit, it was worth it. I'd usually try to buy 2-3 pairs when they went on sale.

I loved them so much, I emailed the company expressing my gratitude and requested that if they were ever planning to discontinue that style, I'd happily purchase 10 pairs right away.

A few weeks later, I received a hand written thank you note from the owner, as well as a package with some items with their logo (water tumbler, notebook, shirt).

Sadly, they discontinued the jeans without my knowledge.

I was able to buy a couple gently used pairs off Poshmark, but no more.

I'm back to the under $20 clearance section as of my most recent pair of denim.

Hmmm... I wonder if they'd sell me the pattern so I could have my tailor make them?
 
Yesterday, I wore a strand of Gold South Sea pearls. I'd forgotten how much I love them, 'cause I don't wear my "good" pearls in summer (sunscreen issssues). Wore them with a very casual Lulu Lemon top, and I only I knew they were there. Made me smile all through the day. Pearls and diamonds. That's all I need to make me smile! :lol: :lol: :lol: :kiss2:
