For four hours, I vacuumed, polished, mopped and dusted.

DH just came home and looked around with much sighing and eye rolling then said "that''s the worst job M''s done yet. We need to talk to her about her work."

He is lucky to be alive and he has a lot of cleaning to re-do this weekend.

I feel your pain. Windows are a sore point around here (along with cleaning, apparently).

DH is an architect, did a little work on our house when we moved in. He asked if I was keen on adding a fourth window opening in the kitchen. I thought it sounded fantastic. Goes to show what I knew.

To an architect, a window opening is not the same thing as an actual window. It is in fact merely a hole in an external wall. Which may or may not become a window in the foreseeable future. It was almost two years before there was glass and timber and plasterwork and stuff.

I went for a bike ride at 345 and told DH I should be home before he needed to leave at 645. I didn't take keys to the house. Thank goodness I told him to leave a door unlocked just in case before I left. I didn't get home until 730!!!!! We rode 28 miles though..... it felt good.
