but I have been seriously thinking about starting my own business and buying a photo booth! FI is being very supportive and really likes the idea too. So new business venture? maybe? I am researching it first and checking on insurance quotes.
I''m very excited over the idea!!

Good Luck! I think it could go very well for you...

We ended up asking a local shop owner (we are getting married in a VERY small town) if we could rent his photo booth for the night, and he said yes! We haven''t worked out the exact price yet, but it will be way less than the online vendors have been quoting! I think you could do great in a local market, especially if you could keep your prices a bit lower than the others.

Just to keep in mind, they are SUPER heavy and we were told we would need a forklift and lots of man power to move it. So, along with insurance you might want to look into how you will transport/deliver too.

Yay for new business ventures!

yeah, they are 800-900 pounds!!!
My FI is a big strong man, he will help! lol

I''m not sure what I could charge yet... I got quotes on chemicals and they are pricey. If the machine is used all night long were talking $500 in materials, so I might not be able to charge much less than the online vendors, plus I need personal liability insurance and commercial auto insurance for transporting. Now I understand why vendors are charging so much... Probably the best I could do is $1500 for a 5 hour event, which is reasonable.. I got about 6 or 7 quotes from vendors online in my area, and the best was $1500 for 4 hours.
