I opened the Tiffany Box

Not to hijack Morelo''s thread about how Tiffany''s damaged her $16K sapphire ring

so I started this one to let you know . . .

I went into the garage and opened the Tiffany''s box that has been sitting there for 1 1/2 years . . . what a let down! Inside was a gorgeous, cloth bound folio of Jean Schlumberger''s work with a personal invitation from a high end sales consultant to make an appointment to view them. Each of the 18 jewelry items is presented separately on 8 x 11 heavy stock paper and they range from $23,000 sapphire and diamond Ancolie ear clips to a $365,000, cusion cut 7 ct Ruby ring with pave diamonds . . . oh and there''s a sapphire and emerald Vigne bracelet for $185,000 and the nicest 3.62 ct diamond "Two Bees" ring for $97,300. . .

I think if the former owner of this home was spending that kind of money at Tiffany''s they should have sent her a complimentary DBTY necklace or something to go with this folio . . .

Nah, they send out things like that four or five times a year. It is all in good fun.

Oh and they do send little presents, silver picture frames, day planners, and the like for Christmas.

Hmmm in the beginning I got nice stuff, like a leather bound day planner. Now I just get stationary. Never did get a silver picture frame, oh well.

I figured it was nothing worth value since no one seemed to care the former owner moved.

Lisa, they gave them the picture frame when my father came up with his gift for my mother for their 25th wedding anniversry. It made several females in the store cry and is now on their offical list of recommend gifts. I think that is why they got that one, since it had their names and wedding date engraved on it. Most of the other things have been smaller.
