I''m so happy now that it''s on the way. There is a problem with time though because I waited so long. They say it''s gonna be here in the middle of january but I have to alter it too. My wedding is March 17 and I wanna take bridal protraits a month before. Do you guys think I should put a rush on it?

hi ybooty! Your dress looks great on you and it looks elegant. Giggle..ok I can''t help this so I have to say it...is it just me or has anyone else ever thought...you see all the buttons all the way down the back right?...well...wonder how the bridegroom would like it if he HAD to undo all the buttons that night? giggle

You may want to put a rush on it. You wanna give yourself 1 month for alterations. If it's going to significantly affect your budget, you're prolly fine though. If they're not horribly swamped, they can prolly get you altered in 2 weeks or less after the dress arrives.

you may want to think about your bridal pics too! for instance, i contacted my photographer to see how long from the time of the shoot to the time i could get a printed pic for the paper. she said one month. then i contacted the paper to see how far in advance i needed to get my pic and info for the anouncement to run. they said one month. right there that''s 2 months! just something to think about.

That gown looks fabulous on you!! CONGRATS!

No. no need to rush it. A) often dresses come in much earlier than the bridal shops say.. B) Your dress does not need to be fully altered for your bridals.. They can pin it and such and disguise it for your portraits. C)Even if you DO want it fully altered for your portraits, They really can be done in a matter of days.. I think it took my bridal shop a couple weeks but that was because I had that long.. I know I scheduled my portraits for a full month after my first fitting, but then I called and had them move it up a week and the bridal shop had no problem with that.. they had my dress done in plenty of time.. I''m sure they could have done it in a week if I needed it.

P.S. your dress is gorgeous.

Hmmm...I dunno, I would probably rush it for peace of mind - mine wasn''t rushed, and the first dress ended up having problems and not passing quality control so it took them an extra month to get it to me after that - you don''t want that stress so close to your wedding!

The dress is lovely and it really suits you - you will be a beautiful bride
