I just wanted to make sure everyone saw it - I posted the recipie for the delicious Whoopie Pies in the Valentine''s Day thread.

We''re supposed to get snow and nasty ice here tonight, so I might be able to convince my BF to order in Chinese and I will make him Whoopie Pies. No kids until tomorrow, so it''s Grown Up Night! He likes it when I bake goodies for him.

CUTE photo and mmmm, whoopie pies!

Awesome! I just read it and my mouth is already watering! I haven''t had one since I moved to Texas from Maine 2 years ago! I''m running a half marathon tomorrow so maybe I can justify shoveling a few whoopie pies in my gullet afterwards!! Yum!

If you didn't want to bake them yourself, or if you wanted to send them to someone, you could order them from Labaddie's Bakery in Lewiston: http://www.labadiesbakery.com/. They make the ones you're used to....as well as a ginormous 16" cake sized version!

One thing I miss but can't get anywhere in this country are Aero Bars. Nestle stopped making them for the American market

. So, if I want them, I have to order them online or wait until someone I know goes to Canada and can bring some back for me. I'm not much of a candy fan, but Aero Bars ROCK. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_%28chocolate%29

Ohhh, I love Aero Bars, especially the White Chocolate Aero and the Coffee flavoured Aero. Yum! I haven't seen any Oh Henry Bars in the US either... I miss Ketchup chips too...

Thanks for the Whoopie Pie recipe; have never heard of it before but am eager to try it out! Sounds delicious.

Thank you so much I''m going to make them for V-day!

I know they had Ketchup chips in Maine, too! Definitely a northern thing! The funny thing is I''ve always loved dipping my chips in ketchup long before I moved to Maine (lived in Texas most of my life)
As for the Whoopie Pies, I''m going to look into ordering some from Lewiston! They are SOOOOOO good! Thanks Bridget!
