BTW - I hope that most ladies here (will) let their F join in the gown selection process as well! Joint decisions on important items that come out of a common budget ... seems to fit the bill!

Yup!

Actually the entire style of my dress is FI''s idea - he didn''t like anything I showed him in magazines. He helped design it and picked one of the fabrics for it. A fabric which I would never have been brave enough to choose on my own.

The only thing he hasn''t seen is me in it!

Neither of us like ''material'' suprises - things like spontaneous trips/movies/thoughts are wonderful.

For my wedding gift he asked me to just give Wink a wish list!

Haha, I can see my husband in this process: "that one looks nice", "that one looks nice, too", "yes, that one is lovely, can we go?"

I told him to show up in PJs if it made him happy and he figured I''d wear something cheap and untraditional--when I showed up at the aisle in a traditional dress, his jaw dropped.

One thing is for sure, though, and that is that we split the cost of the wedding (and honeymoon) 50/50

(Sometimes women just want a partner, not a provider) :)
