I think I found THE Dress!!

Ok, ok, ok let me ask a question before I get way ahead of myself. Ladies, how did you know that the dress you were trying on was THE dress? Is it similar to seeing THE ring or knowing that your guy is THE guy? I always heard that when you know...you know. Is it anything like that? I have been trying on dresses on and off since the proposal and I''ve seen some that I liked but nothing that made me go wow...until now. I think this dress is perfect!! What do you think? Keep in mind that I intend to workout and tone up but not lose too much weight before our wedding in Sept. 2010.

Venus informal gown. I think it''s perfect for our garden wedding!! Plus, I live in FL and we''re having the ceremony here in St. Pete. The material is very light! I think I''m gonna buy it!

OMG its freaking gorgeous!!! The mermaid/trumpet style are my favorites for sure....

I think a lot of people stress out about whether or not they have THE Dress moment - the one where you start crying, freak out, yada yada. In my own personal experience - and that of my friends - well, it wasn''t like that. I loved the dress when I had it on (though I wasn''t hyperventilating or freaking out,) and as soon as it was off and I went home, I couldn''t stop thinking about it. For the first week after finding the dress, I looked at my pictures twice a day. Its been a few weeks and I STILL am constantly looking at my pics or googling pics of other girls in the dress (might I mention, I am buying a trumpet-silhouette dress....

) Anyway, my point is, I think sometimes its the way you feel AFTER leaving the store that is the most telling. If you can''t get it out of your head, then its probably the dress!!

Anyway, when you try on ''the'' dress, you just know. Nothing you try on will ever compare or make you look as stunning as ''the'' dress. Did you feel that way when you had that dress on?

I tried on so many lavish, gorgeous, detailed wedding dresses, but nothing compared to the one i picked because the dress was ME...A beautiful dress should accentuate your beauty in my opinion, and this dress you picked certainly did that

i agree with laughwithme. i don''t have any dress that i''m crazy about yet, but there is one i''ve been thinking about. lets see howmuch more i think about it in the next month. my deadline to buy the dresss is the end of the month!

I didn''t have the ''ah ha'' moment when i first tried on my dress. I think it was because i had something completely different in my mind of what my dress would be like. I liked it, but at the time I thought that the price was too much.

Over about the space of a month my mind kept on going back to this one dress, and nothing i tried on after it even came close.
My friend came shopping with me to see it before we tried on others and she said that even though other dresses were beauitful, this particular dress was ''me''. It ticked all my boxes in what i wanted (plunging neckline, low back, soft for a garden) and i found it online for half the price that the store had it for... and thats how my dress was born.

And judging by that huge grin on your face i think you may have found yours too.

I have been thinking about this dress on and off since I''ve tried it on and I think you ladies are right. I didn''t really have the AH HA moment with any dresses but I feel great with this one. I think it''s the most "me" and I feel comfortable and beautiful in it! I think I''ll give it another 2 weeks and if I still feel the same way while I go dress looking some more, I''ll go back and order it! It won''t be ready for pickup for a few months so I''m glad about that (no need to hide it in the closet until closer to christmas)

Also, what veil do you think would look good on this dress? Should I get one with lace on the trim? I kinda want to keep it simple and I''m thinking of only one veil thing instead of 2. Thanks in advance for the ideas!
