This so sounds like something my boyfriend would do. (That is, if he HAD a ring

) lol On the other hand, I wouldn't be able to contain myself. If I suspected something I would be incredibly giddy and what not.

He would know that I know......you know?

I will give you tons of PS dust for this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will surely be thinking about you. And if it is not the engagement, I bet its something wonderful anyway! BTW, get your camera batteries revved up cause if this is the big moment, I want to see TONS of photos of that lovely Tiffany.

I''m so excited for you!

Every weekend these days I am making sure I don''t overplan to give FF the opportunity to make his own plans if need be. Hes said the same thing that yours did about the "special date, you''ll understand after I propose". There isn''t anything except THanksgiving and Christmas before my birthday (which is in March).

Good luck this weekend! I''m sure I will be stalking LIW to see what happens

Ahahah!!! you must be going NUTS!
Well, whether it is a proposal or not - a surprise is always fun (but here''s hoping it IS the proposal!).

Good luck! I''ll be looking out for your updates on Monday!

I think I would burst! good luck you get all the dust I have!

Thanks ya''ll... he insists that its just something he thought of when the thought about me and to thank me for doing all of the housework, cleaning, cooking, laundry and what not since he has been so busy and no time to help....but when he first said he had a surprise... my heart sank lol i really thought this might be it... but i was just thinking what date is a special date this sat?!?!? and I cant thnk of anything... nor can I think of anything else that might be a special date besides our bdays( dec 21 and 23) and christmas and thanksgiving... but I dunno what would be THAT special about those that he would wait for 5 months! lol :-)

gahhh Ill update ya''ll though :-)

Maybe it''s a special date for him. One of my college roomates proposed to his wife on the anniversary of the day he realized he wanted to marry her. He''d lost his job and was out of work for almost a month and she never complained or mention how tight money was, just cooked more often and thought of fun free things to do. The day that he got a job, he took her out to dinner to thank her for never even asking him if he was looking or interviewing, etc. She told him that she trusted him to take care of them and she knew that as long as she did her part, he would do his. He realized right then and there that he was going to marry her. That''s the date that means something to him.

So BlondeBunny, maybe that''s the day of your first kiss, or your first sleepover, or who knows what goes through a man''s mind?

Well first i started thinking hmm what is he waiting for... I thought okay maybe our 2 1/2 yr anniversary is dec 29... so I thought maybe then... but then why would he say its a special date... because i mean thats special but its not a year ya know?? and then i thought oh he gave me my first tiffany jewelery then... but he did that on our actual 1 yr... so thats not it... or maybe??

First time we both saw the ring was in july i think?? i hope he doesnt keep it a year... BB will NOT be very happy... ahaha :-)

I dont even remember the first time we talked about getting married... maybe he does.. LOL... man he has totally thrown me for a loop!!!!!

I told him Id like to be engaged by the end of the year... so maybe new years eve???

Oh well I am almost 99% positive it isnt happening this weekend... but atleast i get a cool surprise :-)

Surprises are cool :)

So BB, are you going to have a long engagment after he proposes? Do you have a specific date in mind for your wedding?

Umm well it depends on when he plans to propose lol... but I/we were thinking March 6, 2010... so ya kinda long.. .atleast a year.... I plan to DIY to alot of stuff since Im really crafty and I enjoy craft projects and plus I think my wedding will mean more if I knew I did most of it... so I need to time! But i was looking at places for a honeymoon and we enjoy cruises... but the one that leaves on the 7th of March we have already been on and we didnt enjoy some of the stops.. and there is one I want to go on that leaves the 6th... so Im thinking of maybe getting married the week before.. on February 27th so then we can go on the cruise during our spring break...

Last time we talked he wanted to get marrried before we left for medical school or anything... and i REFUSE to get married during the summer here in florida... which means rain and really hot weather... LOL :-)

I know where you are coming from. I like to do A LOT of things myself vs. buying everything. Something I will not do but probably can do is the cake. Only because it would probably have to be done a day or two before the wedding and I wouldn''t want to stress myself out with the cake. On the other hand, I am such a fussy person that I would notice even the minor of minor mistakes on my cake at the wedding and I know I would think to myself "WHY did they do that?" Probably because I am such a perfectionist. Or maybe its because I am an artist. Or maybe its because I like to be in control of those types of situations. ha! Who knows.

One thing I haven''t thought too much on is a honeymoon. We originally thought Hawaii would be awesome (never been) but then one time he mentioned Figi (never been) but I''m not too sure I''m very interested in Figi. Then I suggested half of the time in Hawaii and half in Figi. But then this summer we watched all of the Rick Steve''s Europe videos and I really really REALLY want to go to Italy (never been.) At least I''d like to go there someday. And when I talked to him about Italy as a possible honeymoon spot, he still thinks Hawaii first then Italy another time.

Even if it isn''t proposal time, it sounds like you''ll have a wonderful surprise!!! Just don''t feel let-down if you don''t get the *bling*

At least you know the engagement will happen in the next two months!!! (& if not, give me FF''s e-mail & I''ll light a fire under his rear, because after THREE months of holding a beautiful Tiffany hostage, he needs to get a-movin''!)

DUST DUST DUST!

aw, that''s so cute!! i love how excited he seems about it!! i hope you have a really good time on your surprise date!!

your whole first paragraph explains me ALL to well.. I just like the idea of a vision in my head without something who is not me knowing what it is.. and i would NOT like surprise on my wedding day... i''d get PO''ed and then Id go fix it... LOL..I think everyone knows me all to well that I will have a hard time releasing control on things... hence I plan to have as LITTLE flowers as possible.. just the thought of a color thats not what i wanted or a centerpiece i think that looks like crap... But we are actually looking into doing clay flowers for my bouquet/any other bouquets/corsages/boutonnieres and stuff... everyone loved the idea of that especially since u get to keep it forever and it doesnt go bad ya know?? Plus I get to dictate EXACTLY what i want them to look like and the color :-) makes BB VERY hapy!!!! I also saw some really cool paper roses I am going to make a few and see how they turn out and if I like them...Im trying to do centerpieces W/O flowers as much as possible... just seems like a crazy expensive expense for something for one day...OH and I WILL make my cake... haha..its kinda simple so i think ill be alright...but i love it :-)

you''ll have to let us know how this weekend turned out :)

I want to hear about this weekend too.

I wonder if this his way of creating a surprize element to the proposal since you have seen the ring. Do you get to see the ring or is it in hiding? When you havn''t seen something in a long time, you tend to forget the details. Waiting will make it seem new again.

Or he has something planned for a special day ;-).
