I tried on MY dress...(I think)

Summer''s almost over, and I''ll be back to teaching soon, but meanwhile I''m taking advantage of my days off.
I found a little shop that has the Maggie Sottero dress that I was interested in. My friend and I went there today and looked and looked. The woman at the shop finally found it, and I LOVE it! I think it might be THE dress. No tears, but it made me feel really happy. I wish I was able to take pictures. The price is right for me too.
I also tried on this dress by Winnie Couture which is actually more fabulous in person.
Any opinions between the two?

I love the maggie. Ive seen it in a few shops absolutely gorgeous. I love the lace on it.

The end of the summer is the saddest time of year for me! But as soon as I get in the swing of things I love teaching.
The Winnie Dress is almost twice the price!
In the store I liked it better, but it was a bit poofier than I wanted. The Ophelia that I tried on was white. I think the one shown is white and champagne. I like how the lace of the champagne dress really stands out more.
Ophelia...I think she''s the one! And it''s about 600.00 as compared to the 1200.00 Winnie Couture. I definitely wanted to stay under 1000.00

Tybee, Maybe I''d feel different if I saw pictures of you in the dresses or saw them in person, so just from the pictures, I lean towards the maggie. However, both of them are beautiful and very similar, so you really can''t go wrong with either! Too bad you couldn''t sneak a couple pictures

I think both of the dresses are gorgeous. THe winnie couture is really really pretty, but it looks like it is satin, right? I think you would be much happier with a lighter dress for your wonderful beautiful island wedding!

They are actually both very similar. What my BM liked best about the Winnie (which looks very stiff on the model, but hung more beautifully in person) was the way the beading popped. The train on that dress also makes my heart pitter pat, and I imagine pictures of us walking on the beach... (but I digress.)
The Maggie that I tried on was white and the beading didn''t really pop. Happily, I checked the website and saw that it comes in chamagne and white (as pictured!) I can get what I want for half the price! Plus the back of the Maggie dress is a lace up bodice... oooh, I''m really excited. I can''t wait to take pictures of ME in it! I''m glad you girls agree! Now I only have all that other planning stuff to do, right?

Winnie Couture are my FAVORITE dresses...a few years ago when i was still dreaming of being a bride and hoping for a proposal..I used to secretly go online to look at dresses and I was drawn to the winnies....they don''t carry that line anywhere near me so it wasn''t possible but I LOVEEEEE the dress you posted- so unique!!!!

Hey Tybee - I''m a bit biased but I think the Maggie is a great choice. her dresses (in my experience so far) are so flattering and they seem to be better-made than a lof of the dresses out there - the detail is really wonderful. And I know how you feel being excited - I am supposedly getting my Maggie this weekend and I can hardly sit still I''m so excited!

So the one I''m wearing is diamond white, and it was huge, so it''s clipped up in the back. The one I''m getting is the same color that the model is wearing, It''s diamond white and champagne.
Excuse the goofy goofy face--and the greasy greasy hair. Remember, it''s summer and I''m a teacher. This is my slack off time!
Oh, also, pictures were taken by the woman at the shop, while a very nice lady, not the best photographer!
