I won a TV set!

How cool is that?

I voted in a Boston Magazine kitchen contest and got an email saying that I won a [teeny 20"] LCD TV. Of course, I called Boston Magazine to make sure it was for real, etc. LOL! We are upgrading it to a bigger one, of course.

The last thing I won was a gold plated golf putter about 10 years ago [they engraved my name on it!]! ROTFL! It is still leaning up against the fireplace mantle - I don''t play golf.

I think the TV will get put to much better use.

I won $250 a few years ago on a raffle. They called and left a message and I didn''t return their call until one of my friend''s told me I really did win. It''s a little thing, but it seems so surreal!

It is pretty funny. I was at a conference in September and I "knew" I would win the big TV. Not.

We had been talking about getting a new TV [the existing downstairs one''s tube is shoeing a picture that looks like an hourglass so everybody is way skinny and I''m getting a complex - but we are not big TV people] and then I got that email. Too funny! Now I have to get off my but to get this new set! LOL!

Yeah, no kidding. We are planning to move in the next year or so. I expect the "upgrades" to wait until then. This new TV will probably be relegated to the guest room or my office or something in the new house!
