SO and I have been together about a year and 2 months, but have known each other for several years as casual friends. We started hanging out and then realized that we really liked each other. He is amazing and makes me laugh every single day! He keeps me happy and is one of the 3 best men that I know (My Granddaddy, My Dad and SO). I am VERY lucky! 
On NYE, SO told me that he would be proposing this year and that if I wanted, we could also get married this year (which was a complete surprise, as I thought we would wait until 2014). He told me that he knows I'm the one and that he wants to be my husband sooner than 2014, so now I'm waiting for a proposal and planning a wedding at the same time lol...a bit unconventional, but it works for us. I'm really happy about all this, but am keeping only a few close friends (future MOH's) and family in on this until we get officially engaged and then I will be shouting it to the world! He is amazing and I cannot wait to become his wife! We're aiming for September 22, 2011 and I'm really thankful that he wanted to talk with me about it BEFORE he proposed, so I wouldn't feel rushed or flustered if he waits a few months to make it official.
I'm super excited to be marrying the most wonderful man for me and even though he'll tease me for being a LIW, I'm looking forward to being added to the list.
