Ideas for my new JW seafoam tourmaline?

You've been holding out on me girlfriend! ** pout **

Oh Uppy that setting sounds fabulous! I can't wait to see pics of the stone!!

Dreary, overcast day. So limited luck getting pictures that represent the stone well. I'm just including the hand pics which best represent the color and sparkle of the stone. I just love the look of this puppy against my skin!! The color is the perfect balance between the green and blue, and although the tone is light, the stone has such sparkle and presence! Jeff did a wonderful job at capturing this with the cut. I can imagine if not well cut that this gorgeous material would just look like a washed out aqua.

Please let me know what you think.

Oh my, that is one lovely stone. Thx for the pics and pleeeeease do keep the pics coming.

The first photo doesn't do it justice, but the last two...!

Love the color, love the cut, love the way it looks on your hand. Can't wait to see what you do with it! :appl:

Gorgeous!! The cut, the color, everything!

No pictures of the setting? And only 3 pictures of the stone? I believe you owe me 999,997 pictures of that tourmaline.
It looks great, BTW.

I promise pics of the setting when I go in next week to make another payment on it. As for more pics of the stone, I'm working on it girlie!! I've got to string them off in order to keep my thread bumped to the top of the forum Geez, haven't you figured out my motives yet? 8-)

Motives :naughty: it's the pics that are important :wavey:

Is that what people do????!!! Really, I'm shocked!! LOL!

Enjoy your new stone. Can't wait to see more pics and the setting.

OMG Uppy! Your new stone is to die for! I really don't know how you could set it but I love it!

I don't know if I should be discouraged or encouraged that the only decent pictures I'm getting are on my hand?

I am happy for you! It looks so pretty!

I'm 100% behind this design. Outstanding VL!

I've got pictures of the mounting for you to see. It will be a couple of months at least before I finish paying for it, so these pictures will have to do until after the New Year.

A couple more, including some with the stone propped in the setting. Because of the shape, we couldn't get the stone to sit square. Guess that will give us something to look forward to seeing once it is set.

Perfect!!

Uppy,
That's an elegant and refined setting. Looking forward to when you can have the complete ring!

Congrats....the stone and setting are gorgeous!!!

You must have been quick on the draw to get this one, I emailed Jeff within minutes of receiving the Gem Scoop but it was already gone. It turns out Jeff has more of the same rough so I'll be getting mine after all! :praise:

I'm glad to hear that Diana. The stone truly is bewitching!!

What does the stone look like when not against your hand? I'm talking with Jeff about cutting one for me as well. I'm worried it will be too light. He's called it pastel I believe. LOL So I'm worried. I've got to answer him though.

Uppy,
It’s such a pretty setting for the tourmaline!

Hoofbeats,
Afghan “seafoam” tourmalines are typically quite light in tone, so I think pastel is a good description.

Uppy, yes, I do believe that setting is perfect for your tourmaline, especially given the cut! Love it!

It is pastel, though not washed out. In bright sunlight it looks a bit more like an aqua, but that is its least flattering look. I find that, although light, it holds its color nicely. And the sparkle..... out of this world!!

Thanks! I've decided to go ahead and get a stone from the same rough. :) Square cut, but I don't know which cut yet. I'm torn.

This baby is just about ready to be put on my finger! I can't believe how long I've been working on paying for this thing!! But it should be rehomed in about two weeks. I can't wait to post finished pictures!!

:appl: Yay!!! Looking forward to lots of pictures of the finished ring... its going to be stunning!!!
