Idj diamond studs .. Superb customer service

So I was looking for a pair of diamond studs and reached out to idj

Stats
1.40ctw both GIA xxx
0.7 ct J SI1 strong blue flourence
0.7 ct K VS2 faint flourence

I chose a double milgrain and when I received the earrings I was extremely happy with the diamonds. As Yekutiel promise they face up white and it's eye clean. And super super sparkly! He's got great eyes.
I love the size and including some ear shots.

I was a bit disappointed by the uneven milgrain. This is my first milgrain so I'm not sure if this is what I'm supposed to expect. Anyone with milgrain please chime in.

I emailed Yekutiel and he was amazing. I'm an overseas customer and he gave me a watsapp call immediately after receiving my email. To talk thru my concerns and assured me that if I'm not happy to send back. Best thing he told me please don't lose sleep over it. What a lovely man to deal with. Top notch customer service!

I'm definitely keeping the diamonds, And I'm loving it more as I look at it.
One option is to switch it to single milgrain. But since I've not had milgrain items before, I'm thinking would it always have some sort of unevenness?

They're beautiful. I suggest you discuss your concerns with Yekutiel. He's always willing to go the extra mile to have a happy customer. Great size and beautiful stones. And yes, I agree that Yekutiel has the eye for finding those wonderful stones. Enjoy them.

Beautiful and a great size! Milgrain quality varies quite a bit depending on the skill of the jeweler. I have a milgrained ring and while it looks perfect without magnification, I can see slight waviness in some spots under a loupe, not enough to bother me.

Yes I have spoke to Yekutiel and he is wonderful. He shared that due to the frame of the diamond it was not easy to create a double milgrain which i requested after seeing @peonyinlove gorgeous double milgrain (Yours was my inspiration piece!). There is the option of changing it to single milgrain but i'm not sure i like that look as much. What if I hate the new setting and to top it off i'm overseas so that is definitely a hassle. That being said, Yekutiel has assured me that it is not a problem to return or reset. Wonderful to work with.

And something funny, i do see a slight difference in colour between the K and J. Is is strange that I like it is slightly different?

@AprilBaby I agree it is not obvious on the ears, and no one would come that close to me (i hope!)

@Begonia I didn't think or plan to make them a set, but i do like them together.

@Crystal_Dreams I know what you mean. I did notice the uneveness when i first received it in the black box. The next day when on skin or ears, it didn't look that obvious. It those darn micro camera apps, that makes me scrutinize more than necessary.

@alene Thats is what i'm trying to learn. I see limited pieces of milgrain items in real life so i'm curious as to what level of expectation I should have. It is after all hand made and not machine. I guess like what you say, it's whether how much it bothers me at the end of the day.

Stunning! The double milgrain is perfection! They are the perfect size on your ears. I didn't notice any unevenness and still have a hard time seeing it. Wear them in good health! Will you please share some profile pics of the earrings? What type of backs did you get?

Same here. Noticed the unevenness because you pointed it out, and I can't see it on the ear shots.

These are stunning! I love the double milgrain. If I look for the unevenness I think I can see it but it takes a few moments to find it of careful concentration. I can't imagine anyone who was not a PSer would notice in real life (or even really get close enough to notice in real life). I will definitely show my husband as an idea for my next milestone birthday.

Uneven or not I still think they're gorgeous. I find I much prefer double milgrain to single (wish I had them!)

Do you think you'll keep them? If it doesn't bother you too much, I probably would. If it does though, at least we know IDJ are willing to work with you on this!

Your earrings look gorgeous!!!!! And btw - beautiful hands, you could be a hand model. I love love love jewelry and unlike some real experts here I'm not OCD......but, historically speaking, if something bothers you now (the bezelling) it will bother you more down the line.

Thank you all for weighing in. After wearing them and taking more photos I've decided that I'm going to keep these babies. I really do like them very much. They sparkle and are white on the ears.
