AI 3 - Fantasia and .... I can''t remember her name... oops, well it was a girl

Sooo if we are following the same model

AI 5 Chris and Taylor

However, I want Pickler to win and bomb like AI 2 and 3 winners. AND Chris and Taylor to go on to great careers!

As for QUEEN Night!! I Puffy Heart Queen!

Queen songs are HARD to sing! And you know someone is gonna MURDER Bohemian Rhapsody.. sniff.. Anyone watch Suzie on Rockstar INXS just NAIL this song. It was awesome.

Welllll ... I didn''t say it would be best for Taylor''s CAREER to win .... just that I think he''s gonna. I kinda agree that it would be a harder slog for him than CHRIS ... but some weird cats have found favor with the MTV/VH1 audience (John Mayer, Gavin DeGraw, Damien Rice, even Dave Matthews comes to mind)

And just because he has some performance quirks of old-school icons, doesn''t mean HE''s not an Original. Taylor''s bringing back a kind of soulful, blusey, folksy but HAPPY music & joyful delivery that seems completely fresh in its new incarnation - not to mention - long overdue. Other CHRISes are already all over the Top 40. Dats all I''m sayin.

And I LIKE Chris. I think he IS a star & will continue to be. I''d buy Chris''s albums, but I''d rather go to a Taylor concert.

Hmmm - I would agree with Dave Matthews as being a kind of oddball to win the "mtv favor" - and I guess I can see a little bit of Dave in Taylor. The others I don''t see as "weird cats" at all. To me John, Gavin and Damien are all pretty similiar - and I''m sure you could throw in a bunch of other singers that fit right into their group.

I guess when I think of "original" I think of never been done before kind of stuff. Like I said I''m not super familiar with the performance styles of the old schoolers I mentioned - the BF (and at least 3 different online reviewers) was the one that mentioned it to me. I think Taylor is a much needed breath of fresh air for the show so don''t think I''m hating on him!!

Just discussing my (admittedly) crazy thoughts on the whole thing!


I get what you are saying - I even agree with it mostly. I just don''t know if I actually see it happening with the way that folks vote on this show!

I also thought that it was interesting how they grouped the 3''s....could be they put Chris, Taylor, Kellie all together because that is what Simon was prediciting and it was all over the news and Ryan even asked Simon a week or so ago if his top 3 were still solid. So I think everyone kinda knows that those 3 are what Simon thinks will win.

Saw an interesting blurb in In Touch, which you know is a TOTALLY reputable mag, which said that Paula is ticked off because Kellie feels like she doesn''t need her vote when she knows she has Simon firmly in her court. Interesting anyway. I kinda wondered if that was someone''s way to try to sabotage the little minx, of course all press is good press EXCEPT when your likeability factor may plummet if people feel like you are just giving lip service about the southern charm and the whole ''sorry'' after someone says you were just okay, and really underneath are a cold, calculating little bald-eagle lover. Did anyone else notice how FAR Chris was sitting from Pickler last nite? Obvious.

NOOOOO MACE... STEP AWAY FROM BH!!!!!!!! He will suck the life out of the song. Queen will never be the same.

HECK YES I noticed that minx/bald eagle triangle was a little disrupted last night. It seemed she was pushed over on Mace. Also did you notice how he put out his HAND to shake congratulations. It was a so obvious "stop touching me my wife is watching" move. She seemed taken aback. She shaked his hand and lopped her grubby arm around his neck. I swear.. he flinched.

FLOD--had to chime in here -- I LOVED Suzie''s Bohemian Rhapsody last year on Rock Star, but I doubt we''ll see it on AI next week --- Constantine''s version is still too fresh to AI addicts. If mace tries it, I might be forced to mute the tv.

I didn''t hear anything about it until now so I''m not sure how it could have affected the millions voting. I think she was voted off because of poor song choices the last two weeks and last week being forgetable. She made no secret of her faith and others will assume she believes whatever radical christians do whether she truly does or not. If she is anti-gay, I don''t think it had anything to do with her early exit.

Well, for all you Elliott lovers outside of my calling area - VOTE!!!! The Idol blurb here said that the volume of calls going out from our area jammed up the phone lines - too many calls going out the same time.

The blurb went on to say that TV Guide has Chris as the "most popular" amoung cast and crew.

I agree - I think Mandissa''s song choice diffently took her out. And, that outfit - what were the stylists thinking? I doubt whether her anti gay (if there was such) stance had much to do with it.

Re: phone line jams - I wonder if kids (insert age group) with the text messaging are the ones who are REALLY voting. I would imagine the text message would go right on through. What a boondoggle for cingular! All those calls being "billed". I do not know what the age demographis is with text messaging - but NONE of my middle age friends, associates, etc text message.

It was me. I tried to vote for a full hour + after the show & Elliott''s line was always busy. The paper explained that too many people from my/Elliott''s hometown were trying to dial at the same time which jammed up the local phone lines.

So, vote for Elliot cause I probably can''t.

ok, here''s my rundown:

Bucky- not too sucky..it was alright, picked a good song for himself

MACE- HATED IT

. Simon was sitting there with his head down and his hand on his head like oh god, please let this be over or is this a bad, bad dream..and then Mace''s little cocky comment that he rocked it??? rock a bye bye Mace...

Kellie- ok, I was shocked in her song choice..she looked weird with the lighted and puffy eyes but I she performed it much better than I expected.

Katherine- glad she changed the song. She looked beautiful, a little pichy in parts but she''s still good. i was a little bored though..

Chris - He looked HOT..totally puffy heart him but agree, I so wish he would have picked a different song..not loving his vibrato though at all..

Elliot - I love the song, thought he did a good job, a little pichy but I like Elliot.

Taylor- Entertaining for me and glad to see him back to the upbeat funky dancing stuff..

Paris- not loving her rocker hair at all..i thought she finished the song well..

Overall, pretty entertaining night for me..i''m praying America gets it right and Mace goes home..
