Depends. If you want to go more formal I''d say #3. If you want to go more casual and "Cali" I say #2 (it reminds me of our announcements that dh picked from my selection). #1 has a lovely crisp and clean feel to it with a modern/asian feel.

Guess I didn''t help much did I?

Ok, I''ll try again. I really like #1, but #2 has a happy casual feel to it that I also like and it''s from ic.com. We used invitation consultants (I pretty sure) for our announcements and I was really happy with them. They came out looking gorgeous with no errors (inlaws framed one). Plus they had all this stuff on their site to make writing them easier.

What tone do each of the following set in your opinion?

These are the three (out of the 10 I had picked as possibles) that John likes:

1. http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/products/ProductView_152.htm

2. http://www.invitationconsultants.com/invitation.aspx?p_invitationitem=wj4169223

3. http://www.invitationconsultants.com/invitation.aspx?p_invitationitem=YWF12048652

i''d vote for 1 or 3 -- 2 is a bit too cutesy for me

#3 is more formal looking and #1 can go either way (formal or a bit more casual). i kind of lean towards #1 but also depends on what kind of paper they will be printed on. whichever has the better paper is what i would go for.

I like #1 the best.

# 3 is cute too, but not as interesting and fun as the first one, IMO.

I LOVE number one -- so stylish. Which color would you get? I love blush and did you see cabarnet? I think those cards have a very refined style, are romantic, but not gushy, overly romantic and are just lovely!!! Number 3 is just sort of ho-hum nice, seen it before.

I love 1 too and you can get it in a colour that you like. I think think that 2 depends on what type of wedding you are having but if it is any way formal, I don''t think 2 will suit. 3 is lovely as well. I think it''s the colour of it that''s putting number 1 ahead of this one, however I think in a different colour, number 3 would be beautiful.

I like #1 and #3 as well. I like the natural feeling of them. I actually have a sample of #1 because I thought it would be great invitation to our outdoor wedding. I ended up going with another invitation from wedding paper divas and LOVED them, especially because they were so inexpensive.

#2 is a bit cutesy for me as well, they look more like bridal shower invitations. I can understand the whimsical appeal, though.

Good luck! It''s these details that are the real bugger in wedding planning :)

I like #3 best if you are going for complete elegance. I think it is clean, simple and lovely.

What colors would you get #1 in? I like the details and think this would be good for an outdoor wedding, which if I remember correctly, you were going to have a morning ceremony outdoors in the early fall? I think it looks sort of Spring-like for some reason, even in the fall colors, but in different ones, could look completely different. I think it has a light and airy feel to it (which I think makes me think "spring") while still being a classy invitation. Did any of THAT make sense?

I think #2 is more "destination wedding" looking. Maybe a little too casual?

Just my 2 cents...

I really like #1 and #3 but between those two, I think I like #1 a little more.

These are the ones we picked for our save-the-dates! I loved them, the simplicity/casual elegance of them We're probably not going to use them for the invitations, because I want something more formal... but I do LOVE our save-the-dates. ETA: Here is my save-the-date thread if you're interested to see how ours turned out.

Anyway, here are my honest opinions:

I guess my impression of the first one may be biased, but to me it says "casual elegance," "outdoorsy," and "whimsical."

#2 says "low-key," "modern" and "budget" (don't know why!!).

#3 says sort of the same things as #1, maybe a bit more on the formal side.

Okay so number one is my favorite. We're going late summer (hopefully, right now I'm doing the screaming chicken in my car) and I would do the orange. colors are green and orange and white. It would work for a small or large wedding too. Which I love.

I like #2 if we do the immediate family only wedding, but not for a larger more formal event. But I'm SERIOUSLY leaning toward the smaller wedding.

#3 is in contention if we do the three ring circus. But I don't really like the pale green (even though green is one of my colors). I would LOVE it in orange. But it doesn't come in orange. It is very "ho hum" in that green though.

I'll get samples of all there.

Any other BUDGET suggestions for a late summer wedding with Orange Green and White as colors are appreciated.

I really like #1, and based on your last post, it sounds like it''s your front runner too. I actually just got exactly that invitation in brown and cream and even DH said is was really nice looking. Simple, versatile, elegant. Yum.

Out of budget but perfect-- I actually might spring for these. I''ll definitely order a sample.

Holy crap, those are expensive, but they are GORGEOUS! I say go for those...they are lovely! I love the watercolor look of them!
Those invitations may be a little pricier, but gosh they''re beautiful - orange callas!

I''m having orange callas in my bouquet. So yeah, they are perfect. It says that they are on sale now though. I''m afraid of the price when they aren''t on sale.

#1-sophisticated garden party
#2-we''re eloping
#3-formal wedding, black tie required

#1 says slightly modern but elegant to me.
#2 says cutesy, hopelessly romantic.
#3 says more formal and classic.

Number 1 and 3 have a contemporary elegance and a similiar vine-silhouette art. Number 3 is more modern because of the shape; but Number 1 has some very unusual and of-the-moment color combos. While they are not my style, I like their appearance.

Number 2 is too cutesy for me. I'm afraid I like nothing about it.

Ha! We mostly think alike; I looked at the other posts after I said this, and the word used most frequently for number 2 is "cutesy"! It does kinda have a *yuck factor* for everybody.

I LOVE the calla ones......elegant, but not stuffy.

Me too.

I just looked at who made them (cause I didn''t check the first time I saw them) and they are, of course, made by Checkerboard. Which explains why I love them so much. Everytime I''ve started wedding planning (either for myself or someone else), I fall in love with a checkerboard invitation. I''ve ordered samples from them before and they are SO incredible in real life-- so rich. So I''m not surprised. I just ordered three samples. I already know that if I can budget it, I''m getting the callas. They are perfect.

#1 - simple, elegant, a touch of modern minimalism, works for anything from an afternoon garden wedding to a ballroom
#2 - too cutesy
#3 - very elegant, more formal, jackets and tie required

hmmm, i guess i''m the only one not loving the orange callas card? very pretty but for some reason they give me a retro 70s feel? maybe because i''ve seen the watercolor effect on a lot of my parents wedding cards.

You know I love your taste ginger. So I''m gonna have to think about the retro comment when I''m holding them in my hands. And the fact that invite #1 costs (for everything) about 150 more.

I like number 3 the best. I think it is the most elegant but still keeps with a out door theme.

Number 2 I didn''t like at all, sorry, but looked too I made it myself with clipart.

Number 1 is ok, doesn''t excite me though

I agree with Christy, I think #3 is definitely the best.

absolutely number 3

I vote orange callas, but with a different font. IMO, it''s the font that gives it the retro feel, but it looks like you can change the font.
