If you could choose only two bands to stack with your solitaire.....

I love love love the omc band which is huge! Apparently 2.7ctw. The solitaires are huge also with 2 being 4ct+. Lol I'm just drooling over here :kiss2:

:lol-2:

Definitely caters to our nosy sides! I love the yellow diamond eternity!

I actually enquired about that band. It’s really reasonably priced considering the clarity and colour of the diamonds

Hi @meely there is no thread, it’s a stone from a pawn shop and second hand Erika Winters setting from a lovely pricescoper https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/how-much-is-too-much.251829/
The Hancock’s band is cheaper and slightly less predictable than the matching Erika Winters bands

Lol as soon as I asked Rosie I remembered the thread and I even asked you about the pawn shop! I think the Hancocks band would look amazing! I love that photo on your thread with both your hands showing, talk about blingtastic!

Great minds. It isn’t what I would normally go for on paper but I really like it!

It’s very blingy too, looks lower color as well.

Lol maybe a bit too blingy to go with my ring. I'd have a much smaller version made if I could lol. It would be a great standalone band though. One can only dream hahaha.

kayla that is so interesting. I love your profile pic that is just dreamy! Where was your french cut band from? I feel like they are going to be like totally out of my price range. Have you got a post with your band collection anywhere?

HI! and thank you!
I purchased my french cut eternity from Wilson's Estate Jewelry. They had a 10% off new customer coupon so I did get 10% off when I made the purchase. The ruby band in the profile picture is from Beverley K and also has french cut rubies. I purchased it off eBay for a steal.

French cut bands are pricey and I'm definitely a bargain shopper, so I really searched and searched before I made this purchase. I also received quotes for a custom made band from Dk, sako and Alex, but this band actually was less money than any of the quotes I received. I prefer this band anyway because I like the way the old cut french cut diamonds are cut compared to the new ones. The patterns on the newer ones look like a checkerbox to me. Plus I like knowing this band is old and vintage, it makes it more endearing and special to me.

I don't have a picture of all my bands. I do love to stack so I have quite a few posts over on the Show me your Stack thread. The funny thing is my 2nd favorite band is a preloved CVB Geneva band with french cut diamonds as well. It has 9 repurposed true antique square french cut diamonds (as per the description).

Good luck with your search! I'm sure when the bands come along you will know they are the right ones.

That is really interesting about the french cut band, especially as antique pieces are often more expensive. I am not sure a french cut band will be in my future because of the cost but you never know! I love the Beverly K ruby band. I think a ruby band is definitely on my wish list and I really like that one! Off to have a look at the CVB Geneva now!

So I am getting ready to order some bands. I would like a 7 stone or eternity but that will not come until later as it will need to be made in lower color diamonds to match my n stone.
So my question is about size. Overall I am a 4.75 but my finger size does really vary due to heat. I could wear 4.5-5.5 depending on what time of the year it is and what I am doing, even throughout one day.
At the moment I am planning on getting my solitaire in a 4.75 because I think I will have a good chance of losing it otherwise. I was also planning on getting my ring guard in that size as they need to fit well together.
However I wondered if I should size up with my other bands? I was thinking either 5.25 or 5.5. I will be getting a coloured stone eternity and various engraved bands that I wouldn’t be able to resize. I don’t want the bands to not match profile wise and stick up too much because they are so much bigger. If it makes a difference I think the solitaire will be about 2.4mm thick and the ring guard 1.6mm and then I will go for 1.6-2.2mm for any other bands. I have long fingers and plan on stacking a total of 3/4 rings at any one time or just wearing my solitaire.

So I guess my overall question is -
Do I size all my rings up (if I do that I won’t be able to wear my solitaire on it’s own which I may want to do at times)
Or
Do I size just the bands up? Will it look weird to have 1/2 or 3/4 size difference
Also
To those who have been in this position, would you size up by 1/2 or 3/4?
