Hey everyone. I am planning a new project and wondered if you can help! If you had a 2ct cushion sapphire, what size and shape diamonds would you use for side-stones in a three-stone? Pictures are greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

DD

ETA: that should read "cushion" in the title, I am not making a ring from raw fish.

I would use halfmoons for sure.

Edit to correct --- tcw between .25 and .60 depending on what kind of ratio you want

Here is a pic of Widget's padparadscha with half moons (not sure on the carat weights... sorry)

Very nice, posh! I thought of those and wondered if half moons might not give me the horizontal finger coverage I really seek... but your totally right they compliment the cushion shape for sure!

Well a 2ct cushion sapphire will have a pretty good spread on its own, so I think adding proportional half moons would give it great finger coverage. However, if you are looking to maximize finger coverage you could go for east/west set (non-square) cushion side stones. That would be pretty cool!

Nice suggestion posh! I think I need to go hunting some examples of these settings.

Definitely half moons!!! Gorgeous!!!!

I hate to be the lone dissenter but...

I would agree that half moons would be nice, but a couple trillions would be downright tasty!

Hmmm... I like trillions, esp rounded ones like these (owned my just_looking)... would this look nice with a cushion center set east-west and diamond sides?
