So who knows when the ball will get rolling on having this baby made, but I really like this simple, elegant setting! Now I just have to decide-- round or square diamond? Maybe I''ll let him pick. I just "happened" to leave a print of this picture laying on my coffee table and I THINK b.f. saw it. If he did he played it cool and hopefully has photographic memory! Cross your fingers for me!

How striking! Who makes it? I''d go with a round stone, but that''s just always been my personal preference. Plus, I think a round stone adds some curves to the ring...

I have no idea who makes it. I had the picture saved to my computer''s desktop and don''t remember where I found it. I think we''ll have to have it made.

How exciting! I hope he remembers too! Good luck!!!

Looks close to a tension setting like this one:

... built with a bridge under the stone. There has been another with a princess cut on SMTR recently.

David Keeling (custom jeweler posting here - link to gallery ) makes a version:

And it also reminds me of a Stuart Moore design link to site although the ring is relatively simple and many jewelers may have similar ones.

I vote for a round stone to add a little something curvy to a very sleek design. LMAO about the BF having a photographic memory!!! I would just leave the pic out where he can see it so you don''t have to hope he remembers it perfectly.

That''s a great setting. I''d go with a round stone too, I like that floating looks that you can''t really get with a square stone.

Oh, I love this kind of setting with RBs!!

Princess cuts make them look to... square-ish. A RB stands out more, and as elepri said, there''s a more floating look to it.
