Monday, December 15th, 2008 was and is now officially the happiest day of life. It was the day that the love of my life proposed to me and made me the happiest girl in the world!!!!!!!!! 
I am 22 years old (turning 23 on February 4th) and my boyfriend, now fiance', is 23. I met him when I was 12 years old. I liked him so much. We became best friends almost immediately and spent all of our time together. We started dating at around the age of 13 or 14 and dated up until about the age of 18 or so. We broke up and barely had any contact for almost 4 years. I had always missed him. He was my first love and my one and only true love. We started talking again in 2006, started dating, and have officially been back together ever since. I love him so much and we are so happy. We really consider eachother our soulmates. We have this amazingly incredible relationship, not only from dating, but because we've known eachother for so many years since we were children and have been through alot together. I know that I would love nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with him. And happily, now I can, because he just proposed to me on December 15th. Here is how he did it....
It was such a surprise. I had no idea what was going on or why. We got into the car to go somewhere and he blindfolded me with 2 different things AND made me keep my hood on the whole time. LoL Even when we got to the area, while walking holding me close, I was blindfolded.....
Finally, when he took off the blindfolds, we were standing in the most amazing place I had ever seen. It was like secluded and made just for us. There was barely anyone else even around us. It was beautiful, literally breath taking. It was directly in the middle of Rockerfeller Center (Manhattan, NY) with the most incredible and upclose view of the giant lit Christmas tree with this beautiful brick-paved area with lots of little trees leading up to the big one. The wind was SO warm. Not cold at all. It was beautiful and perfect....
So we were walking hand in hand, arm in arm, and he proceeded to give me the most amazingly romantic speech saying things like "I've known you since I was 13 years old. You are my best friend. I want you to know that I have always loved you and I always will. I will always be here for you and you'll never have to worry about anything." And so, so many more romantic and loving things. Then he proceeded to say "And if you notice, this is where we took our very first picture together the 2nd time around that we started dating, and so...."
And with that, he held my hand, slowly got down on one knee, I started to cry, and on his knee, he pulled out a box, opened it, took out the most gorgeous ring in the world, and said "Kalen, will you marry me?" and while crying I said "Yes, I will marry you." And jokingly, he said "What? I didnt hear you!" Lolol So while crying from happiness, I said "Yes!! I will marry you!!!!" with a huge smile on my face
He slowly put the ring on my finger. He got up. And we hugged and kissed. And then just as we did, it started to drizzle/rain.
Rain is my favorite weather in the whole world! Loll He was amazing and everything was soo perfect. It was such an unbelievably incredible, amazing, beautiful and romantic surprise. Simply unforgettable. I am so happy and excited. I am now engaged to my best friend and the love of my life! He is the best. I am SO in love with him. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him. It was officially the happiest night of my life.
