And it''s not even like I get to plan to be engaged within the next 6-8 months. Long engagement, long far off wedding, I did this a year or so ago with a beautiful white gown with pink flowers (I still have dreams about it) and lord only knows where THAT dress went.

Lol. Our timeline is probably around the 6 month mark too (March-May or so) and then probably a wedding October 2010. (Unless we have to move it up for some reason!)

I actually sent my mom an email showing her wedding shoes (that were about 2% of the likely budget) and she said, "It is WAY too early to be thinking about that."

I can totally relate to falling for a dress while not even being a BIW. I have a file on my desk as work with printouts from many designers for when the day comes. I truly can''t wait to try on gowns. I have permission from FF to go dress shopping prior to being engaged if my best friend has to move from RI (where I''m from) to FL for a job. He knows that I don''t want to go dress shopping without her and my mom together. I''m secretly hoping that he will propose before then but at least I know he won''t be upset if I go shopping before we''re officially enfianced.

In fact, I have my bridesmaids dresses, colors, flowers...almost everything picked out already (and we''re not getting married til May 2010!) My FAVORITE dress is this Jim Hjelm...

dragonfly, I was a bridal consultant for a while and we carried Casablanca. They are really reasonably priced! usually under $1000. Also, they are one of the few companies who will make custom changes (for an additional fee of course

)
