Hello Girls

My parents are visiting from the UK so mom decided that we should select my dress NOW since I will not see them again before the wedding next year. I''m so excited! My dad, who has cancer, came with us and was so in love with the dress that we all became mushy and decided that THIS IS THE ONE!
It''s so pretty! YEAAAAH! White Italian silk, strapless with silver embroidery and swarovski crystals.

I was unable to find the style number or picture from the Ines di Santo website - it might be from a previous collection. Thank goodness for camera phones! While the lady was on the phone we took a few camera phone pictures...hee-hee! So much for the NO photo rule!!! LOL!

I usually am not over on this thread much, but I have been following your plight with the dog emergency and having to push back the engagement, and then deciding which ring, etc. I am so glad you got the ring of your dreams and this dress just looks magical! Sorry about the blurry pictures. What''s up with the no photo rule in the bridal stores?

I found the 7th picture online - it was the only picture available of the dress. I called the store and the dress is called Alma. I’m having a hard time finding images of the dress online.

Mokey - thank you for your heartfelt message. It''s been a crazy year for my family. It''s actually nice to get excited about something. I was so emotional when I tried on the dress. I''ll always remember that my daddy liked this dress and it makes me so happy to think that that was his first choice. It''s like Carrie said on Sex on the City about Samantha breast cancer scare - "he has to be fine!" I really hope that my dad will be strong enough to give me away at my wedding. It’s so important to me.

Enough sadness...let’s celebrate the fact that I’m a girl and can wear a dress on my wedding day...Yeaaah!

Ooooh I tried that dress!!!! It had an absolutely GORGEOUS fit with the dropped waist... though a little more detail than I was looking for. But at that particular dress shop (Suky Rosan in Philly-area), it was one of my favorites. Congratulations!!!
