Importing stones to Australia

Hi all,

Any Aussies able to shed some light on the taxes imposed by K.Rudd when importing stones please?
I know there is 10% GST payable.
What is the current customs rate - is it 5% or 10%
I''ve tried searching the customs website, but it''s about as clear as mud.

Import Duty is 5%, plus there are some other processing fees (usually about $100).

By the way, you wouldn''t want to be importing wine - OMG - $230 tax on $400 worth of wine..... OUCH
