Impulse Buy

On my lunch hour today, I bought this dress from Anthropologie for my rehearsal dinner.

I really like the vintage look to it and think it is unique. But I am second guessing myself, and hoping I didnt only buy it because it was on sale. Do you think all I need is some great black vintage looking pumps and it will work? Or do you think its a bit over the top?

aw the impulse buy I did that today too! But mine was for graduation.

Anyways I like the vintage look, and the lace on that dress is very fun yet sophisticated, the black ribbon adds some elegance to it without being over the top or being to much like a party dress. I think a simple black pair of pumps/stilletos would be perfect!

Gorgeous dress!!!!!

If you want flats, ballet flats would look great but I think some jeweled peep-toe pumps would look amazing and with that dress, you can go wild with color for the shoes

I would keep your accessories simple, and let the dress "do the talking"

So my fiance HATES the dress. Really hates it. So I guess its going back. He said we should go to the beverly center tomorrow and he will get me whatever I want.... SO yeah, he must really hate it. I really want something with a vintage feel to it. Any suggestions on who makes something, cute and kinda retro?

Hmmmm. Max Studio does some vintagy stuff sometimes. Tracy Reese is a big fave of mine in mag layouts at least, as she doesn''t make clothes in my size

i''m relatively certain that my fiance won''t remember what i wear for our rehearsal dinner by the next morning. i guess sometimes that''s helpful! he''s kind of like the guy in that new home depot commercial where the wife says she wants to plant flowers in the garden like the ones at their wedding. the guy looks really confused and says something like, "we had flowers at our wedding?". that commercial cracks me up!

but, hey, now you can get anything which could be great fun!

you''ll find something. i thought i had my dress picked, but apparently, my order didn''t go through last week and now all the dresses are pre-order and wouldn''t ship in time.
