So I finally got round to resetting my blue tourmaline. I bought this at the height of the pandemic in 2020 when I was going though a really tough time. My husband and I had separated and he got stuck in the U.K. while I was in the Middle East with the kids and my mum. We were apart for six months and it was pretty hard. I bought a lot of pretty stones during that time to distract me. Some were sensible buys, others not so much.

I ended up buying this set in a ring because the seller wouldn’t sell me the stone on its own. I massively overpaid for it but I really wanted the stone. Finally two years later I have got it set into a proper ring. The hexagonal diamonds were hard to find but I think really go well with the octagonal shape of the clip cornered asscher cut of the tourmaline.

This is the setting before which was just too tiny for me - the band width was only 1.3mm at its widest.

I can honestly say I've never seen hexagonal diamonds... the tourm is stunning... the entire ring is dreamy! Congrats!! And I do hope things have turned a corner for you, my friend. :)

Stunning! Congrats with your reset. Great choices

I can see why you really wanted that Indicolite, the cut is just about perfect.

Your reset is brilliant...congratulations!

That is GORGEOUS! One of my face PS CS rings :) I'm sorry for the trials it took to get to where you are with it but hope you can wear it in peace and happiness

You're a lady after my own heart!! Your ring is absolutely gorgeous and that blue-green tourmaline is to die for!!
Love it!!! :appl:

I just bought a Indicolite blue-green tourmaline, that arrived Saturday. Unlike your beautiful stone, mine is not so good... It's an emerald cut; one end of the stone is entirely included with what almost looks like crushed ice!! The only reason I haven't returned it yet is because I am in love with that color!!! Not too blue, not too green, just perfect.

The place I got it from has a few more Indicolites but they're more of an ink blue -- not the color I'm after.

All the best to you and your husband. After a long separation, take time to enjoy just spending time together.

Wear your fabulous blue-green ring in good health and happiness!!

Sorry to hear the clarity of your stone wasn’t what you hoped. I hate that sinking feeling when it doesn’t quite match expectations. I have to say though that some of my fav pieces are heavily included - they have such character.

I decided to keep it... I didn't pay a lot and the inclusions are visible at close range. Also, the bezel style ring I will have (waiting to be made) for it wasn't overly expensive.

Needless to say, you my friend have one hell of a great ring!!!
