Info on Lavender Toss & Opinions on Container

Ok, so thanks to sumbride and others I decided to do a lavender toss during our recessional. So I ordered 3lbs of lavender on ebay and bought these little organza bags from AC Moore this past weekend (they were buy one get one free!). So I filled them up over the weekend- finally a DIY project that I could handle! I''m very pleased with the results and it smells so good! For those of you interested in doing a lavender toss, I spent about $30 on the lavender- but as it turns out I bought way to much. I filled 150 of these bags with just over a pound of lavender. The bags were about $52.00 or $.35 each. I probably could have found the bags online for even cheaper. So here is a picture of the bags..

I also bought these bubble ball vases this weekend ($2.99 each!). Guests will be seated from the sides, so I was thinking of setting up two tables on either side with 2 of these vases and a container with programs on each table. What do you think? Should I get a different container, or should I forget about putting them in containers and have the coordinator put a program and a bag on each chair?

I just wanted to say how cute they look! I think it would work in the vases or attached to a program...or, if you want to do one on each of the programs, you could have extras showcased in the vases...sorry I''m no help!

Very cute! I would just put them on each chair. It may be a bit much to hang onto with the program while being escorted to the seats.

I love the cute vases, but I think it might be simpler just to have the little bags put on the seats with the program. That way you can be sure everyone has one and they don''t have to juggle jackets, cameras, handbags, etc. .

Those look adorable!!! I also like the idea of having the bags on the seats with the program. That way everyone is sure to get one.
