I was wondering if anyone has a special inspirational book that has had a really positive effect on their life? Mine is the childhood classic Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. I have always loved horses from early childhood and reading this book made me want to do whatever I could to help horses in need. My dream has come true , although on a small scale and in time I hope to be able to do more. Anyone else?

I am not sure I could even begin to list them all. Books have by and large been my friends...

Right now I am reading The Four Agreements. It is providing a lot of insight for me about how to manage relationships of all types, friendships, familial, etc. I also regularly refer to The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama.

The book "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coehlo really had me thinking, now I want to read it again after mentioning it. Another great book that I don''t know if I would exactly call inspirational, but something else that I can''t really put my finger on is "The Pillars of The Earth" by Ken Follett. I love books, but these two really stand out in my mind.

ILLUSIONS by Richard Bach

i find new meaning in it each time i read it. its like peeling away layers: what i thought i understood the first time is revealed once again with a newer or deeper insight.
