hehe...

OK for fun here are the pictures of the dresses I tried on..

dress 2

I loved this dress too!

IMG_0120.jpg

Oh, that first one looks like one of my favorite Jenny Lee gowns - fabulous on you! More more!!

similar to the previous one but crinkly

IMG_0122.jpg

here is the back to the previous one

IMG_0123.jpg

All of the dresses are beautiful!! My fav is the third one, I think it''s really flattering on you

I still haven''t gotten a pic that does the beauty of this dress justice! I am only 5''1" (on a good day) and this dress is perfect! The store only had a medium in stock so I was trying to hold the extra fabric back (hence the funny arm position)

The back to the second dress
Ew sorry for the lumpiness

IMG_0116.jpg

The back to the third -- sorry about the horrible order of these

All except for the one that is perfect are affordable and from Nicole Miller - I highly recommend the one on Sunset! Annie is awesome!

I love dress # 2!!!!!!
It's very old hollywood - art deco - film noir!
It's made by __________ ?

One comment: Just my opinion, Please don't be offended: Some dresses just don't photograph well, if you haven't gotten any pics that "do the dress justice" you probably aren't going to get any. It's going to be the same with your wedding pictures. Also, I know you love that dress, but IMO it's the least flattering on you.

Scintillating...

Hehe I did like them all but only felt the one that didn''t photograph was the one for me. I''m crazy I know...but I''ve come to terms with it :)

I like the front of dress 3 the best but am not sure of the back. We are the same height so I feel your pain. I went with a huge skirt style (typical wedding dress).

hahah yeah! I hate being short! Those pics are me wearing heels too! (which I died in) I think I stepped on 99.9% of the beautiful dresses I tried on!

Snow_happy,

I like #4 and #3, particularly #4 - it makes your body look very nice, sleek, and elegant - I also like the sheen and the crinkly look. I only like the back on #2 but I don't think the front flatters you as much as #4 Also, I think that the short sleves on your favorite dress have to be taken in b/c they are too wide.

Snow_happy, the thing is that its really about how the dress makes YOU feel. I tried on other dresses that my dad, and I'm sure some people on PS, would have prefered over the dress I picked, but I was not crazy gaga over it. It was a beautiful dress just not "my style" b/c it was more traditional and I'm so not. My FI mom observed me and said that in the other dress that I didn't pick I was very rational - I would turn and examine the dress form all angles and become very thoughtful about whether I should go with that dress. However with the Kenneth Pool dress I choose, she said that my mouth just lit up and I couldn't stop smilling. Plus I also got all emotional in it when I tried it on.

Think of it this way...which dress would you be the most excited about when you come back in about 4 months to get fitted? Which one will you think about the most when you go home?

Kaleidoscopic -- I just realized that I spelled your screen name wrong in my post -- I''m so sorry! I totally agree with you and even my MOH said that I "lit" up when I tried on this dress. Even my FI is gaga over it. I agree with you about the sleeves but on the small, they fit like they are supposed to. I don''t think it will take any alterations-- I''m so excited!!! YYYYYYYAAAAAYYYYY I''m glad you went with a dress that made you happy. I think your dress is a great twist on the traditional. I can''t wait to see pics of you in it!

SanDiegoLady -- That 40s inspired dress is from Nicole Miller, silk and totally affordable from what I can remember. I someone with a different body shape would look better in the dress than I did but the back...oh my...the back is to DIE for

That''s ok snow_happy, I didn''t even notice that you mispelled it. I think that picking your dress is a simple as you "litting up" when you try it on.

As long as others don''t think its hideouse and as long as you and your FI think its worth the money, I think your good!

Ditto.

Are you still going to alter your top part of your dress? Actually this pic of your dress look better than the one in the other thread, but I just don''t like the sheer middle part.

it looks gorgeous on you.

I''m only 5''1" as well... I used to want to be taller, but it is what it is- I was made to be PETITE. hehe

I love the third dress on you! Is that the Jenny Lee? it''s gorgeous! Can''t wait to see what you pick!

#3 is my favorite on you, but you need to pick the dress which makes your heart sing.
30.gif

I love that fourth one! The fifth one is very cool, too, very unique. You''re so pretty and petite and they all look gorgeous but the fourth one is my personal fave.

#2 is my favorite on you and then #1 but they are all very nice classic styles. You gotta go with your heart, though, I think.

I love the 3rd one - the front looks great & the back is so cool! I like the front of #2, but the not the back at all.

This is the front and back of dress 2 on SH and my favorite!
