Interesting Jadeite/Silver Eye

My parents were antique dealers, and they happened upon lots of interesting things. I was looking through a box of odds and ends with my mom the other day and found this! I think it used to be a pin, but those parts were removed some time ago. I think it could be made into a pendant by attaching rings and chain at symmetrical spots along the top. It looks like a human eye shape to me, with leaves and flowers. I actually really like it!

This is so unique. I like the evenness of colour of the jade and the craftsmanship of the sliver. The design of the jade is unusual
