I happened upon this metalsmith from the webpage of a tool source we both use. The work is not always to my personal taste, but it is always impressively crafted and engineered. Has anyone here used him before? If so I would love to know about your experience.

Beautiful work. When looking at the rings I wonder why the rings become hollowed out (for lack of better word) on the sides. Can someone explain to me if this is to keep the weight of the ring less for comfort, or is it for cost savings?
