Okay so after lots of pulling hair out of my head, I may have found a venue. I am so excited !!! Finding a place on a tight budget that allows outside catering is almost impossible, BTW !!! We are gonna go check it out and check out a couple of other places in 2 weeks (first weekend in June). FI is cautioning me against getting too excited but I just cannot help myself.

The funny thing is . . . I first looked at their website about 2 months ago (I wasn't even engaged yet . . . giggle), I felt my stomach drop and I got this kind dizzy feeling like this was IT . . . but I kept that to myself since he hadn't popped the question yet and the website indicated that they have their own exclusive caterer so I had given up. But in my search for a venue, I'd keep going back and daydreaming about this place. So, finally I called them and took a chance and explained that for cultural reasons I needed an outside caterer. They had me call the caterer and talk to him directly. I was so nervous doing that, BUT guess what . . . HE said NO PROBLEM !!! Yeah, boy !!!

It is just a smidge above budget but hey . . . it is SO VERY PERFECT for us . . . the way we met and what makes us tick, mountains and lakes. I am super excited but I am trying not to let FI see that cause he says I am gonna be disappointed if it doesn't work out for some reason. So, I had to share my excitement with you guys instead.
