other than your dj/band, photographer and videographer, are you inviting any of your other vendors, i.e. officiant, florist, baker, hair & makeup artist, etc.? this may be a silly question, but i am wondering because i am having an out of town wedding and vendors from everywhere and i don''t know if it''s appropriate to have them stay for the reception

I think that anyone who may be around for your reception should get an invite. Like maybe the officiant, especially if you like him and you''re comfortable with him being there. The baker, florist, makeup artist etc normally leave before the reception even really starts since they''re done with set up and such. For our wedding, the caterer would also have a chance to sit at a table and eat with the rest of the vendors, but they go after the guests have been served.

Ummm...NO! Seriously, unless you are friends with them from before the weddign, why would they be there? I''m having an out of town wedding and I''m paying for vendors hotel''s but I am certianly not going to invite them to stay for my reception.

thank you for your responses. i was only planning on having the vendors who obviously need to stay like my dj, photographer and videographer. i was just curious what the normal protocol was.
