Hello everybody, Im new here, and I hope you can answer my question.

About two weeks ago I bought one 14k white gold engagement ring in L.A. jewelry district (one small jewelry stand in a corner) I loved this ring, but when I got home (san diego) and looked inside of the ring I see this engraving: MGD 14K 2PA 15/.35

I dont know, but in my mind 2PA it kind of reminds me of palladium, and what about 15/.35??

Lost my receipt and I dont even have the phone number of the jewelry stand, the ring cost me 900 dlls and I already check it with a local jewelry store, and they told me the diamonds are real, but they dont know nothing about the engraving.

Could you help me please?

Does your ring have a single gemstone of 0.35 ct weight? And perhaps sidestones of 0.15ct weight? That could explain the 15/.35 (with the other decimal point beng overlooked or simply rubbed off during the polishing process)

Palladium is normally indicated with its symbol "Pd", so I suspect the 2PA is simply a manufacturer''s code or ID.

If it says 14K in it it likely is gold, but it''s easy enough to get it tested at a jewelry store...

I just looked in because the word, "gold" always catches my eye! I wanted to give you kudos, oldmancoyote; that was great detective work! I would never have thought of that explanation, but it makes perfect sense. Omar, it just doesn''t make sense to me to think that someone would try to cheat you by setting real diamonds in "fake" 14K white gold! 14K white gold is not, actually, very pure or very expensive! You can certainly have it tested (as was suggested), but since you have already been assured that the diamonds are authentic, I would rest easy!

Are you becoming engaged? If you are, congratulations!

Thank you guys!
Oldmancoyote you are right!, I overlooked the other decimal point.

Yes Deborah, Im going to get married.
I wish I knew this website before my purchase, you got some rings around here!!!
thanks

Congratulations, Omar, that sounds like a lovely ring with a center stone that is over 1/3 of a carat. My engagement ring, which was truly beautiful too, consisted of two 1-point diamonds set inside a gold oval. We were pretty poor in those days! But that was 32 years ago. I wish you a very long and happy marriage!
