I have seen much of the referral and regarding appraisal and all have been referred to so called "independent appraisers". But I hope I am not being intrusive - for as much as many think that jewelers and gem vendors may have their personal bias and tilting to their own benefits- I have found besides myself , in todays web and Internet climate- many of us in the trade are just as "fair" to give any customers a free opinion of their purchase.

I hope in our own zest toward excellence - let us not overlook that there are good and fair jewelers - speically many that have the vertical knowledge of gemstones, manufacturing, trading and even counter trade (like bartering) . Indeed the trade today is almost like a free for all - but there are still ethical guidelines for all competent and less competent jewelers.

I for one will not feel intrusive if some one sends me their potential buy in Ebay or in any auctions and to give them a fair opinion. We need good tradsman, fair tradsman and not only jewelers today wearing that hat to sell gems and jewelry - Many new comers will be just as competent if they are fair and they are knowledgeable - by being fair - it is no shame to say "I am not familiar with this item" or it is too hard to see on the screen" . I hope I am making contriubition to widen our business of gems and diamonds by my comment in here.
