Is this a "window" in my emerald?

I cannot see my finger thru the stone, but there is a square that doesn't reflect back. Is it a window, or some p3 cut issue?

Yes that is a window in that emerald, stunning stone either way

The color and stone are so pretty. I wouldn’t worry about a window. You have one gorgeous, classic, emerald ring!

Yes, that looks like a slight window. As the others have said though, the color is stunning!

Thanks everyone! I've had this for a couple years and wear it infrequently because it's an emerald. But it does absolutely GLOW!! Today was really the first time I noticed the square, but can't see thru it. I do love this ring. I have a smaller, deeper, richer, (maybe a little more blue) square emerald pendant with very little jardin that is pretty nice too.

I appreciate all of your feedback on my ring. :wavey:

Couple quick shots of the pendant. Clearly I need a macro lens:oops:

I love your pendant too! Do you wear them together or always separately?

It's all about the color. That's a gorgeous ring...the window doesn't bother me!!!

No, not really, nothing bad

It's a window, but it doesn't seem to impact the stone's beauty to any significant degree.

Couple quick shots of the pendant. Clearly thanks everyone for relieving my mild worry. :roll

I bought them separately, and found the pendant after the ring. They were preloved. The ring is stamped 14KP in yellow, and the necklace is stamped 750 Italy (and appears to be rise or peach).

I do wear them together, but only infrequently as I don't want to damage them (and the neck chain likes to tangle in my hair). :(2

I wouldn't worry about the window because the color is fabulous.

.
Rather love a pool of colour within the usual rim of sparkles in the intensely colured Greens, Reds & Blues ... (PS ANATEMA !). I'd say that the texture of the ring stone closes the window nicely.

The little square is something else .-)
