is this emerald treated or not

Those are not gem quality, so they’re worth very little, even if untreated.

The listing says unheated, which isn’t the same as untreated. Emeralds are never heat treated so that’s a moot point.

Those look like glass to me.

I want to use them for cheap silver rings.
how much would cost this quality emerald per carat?

one of my friend bought one lot from this seller and tested it with smartpro gem eye and it said emerald.
I know that gemtester cannot see the difference between syntetic and natural, but can see if it is glass or not.

That’s good! I’m happy for your friend.

Emeralds, like most gemstone, are valued on the colour, cut and clarity.
Loose Emeralds for a few dollars from eBay are very very low quality. Most are dyed and/ or flux filled.
The sellers say what they like to get sales because they know you aren’t going to spend $100 plus gem for lab testing to get your $6 or so back from the eBay seller. And when you complain or leave neg feedback and eBay cancels their account, they open another the next day and continue on.
If you like them and are happy paying a few dollars for them, that’s fine. If you want to make some rings with them, that’s fine too but the quality of those emeralds is really really low.

I understand,my point is that i want to know if the stones are real emerald(treated or not),not dyed quartz or dyed sillimanite, some customers want to buy ring with emerald but with low budget under 100$ and i dont want to scam them.I can say to them that it is diffucult near impossible to make but then they will go to another artisan and they will make for them.In the business Small fish bring the Big fish.
so it easy to find in the market these low grade emerald for few $ per ct?

Yes, the poor quality ones are treated. Bron said they're dyed and flux-filed. Dyeing emerald rough is treatment.

If you're a vendor, this is not the forum to discuss whether you should use these emeralds for your customers. This is a consumer forum.

If your customer pays less than $100, you should be offering synthetic emerald, which is more durable and beautiful than treated natural emerald and imo better deal for your customers. This is not the forum to discuss synthetics, either.
