Hello,
I''''m new. I just signed on and this is my first post. :) I have spent a few days here looking for answers to my questions. I have found some but not others.
My husband just upgraded my diamond for me. Here it is:

Round Modified Brilliant
Measurements 6.01-6.09 x 3.66
Weight 0.80 carat
Depth 60.5%
Table 59%
Girdle Very thin to Slightly thick, Faceted
Culet None
Polish Very Good
Symmetry Good
Clarity VS2
Color F
Fluorescence Faint
Comments None

This info is from the GIA cert. This diamond is a Ben Bridge Signature diamond. It is very beautiful! I guess my concern is the girdle being very thin to slightly thick. Can anyone tell me to relax about it? The ring can be seen at www.benbridge.com under signature diamonds. It is in their signature setting.

The diamond should be OK with a very thin girdle. I didn''t see which setting you chose but a six prong would offer the most protection if you are concerned with chipping. Since you and your DH have already purchased the ring it really does no good to worry about it. Just enjoy!!

It sounds like the ring has been purchased and that it is a done deal and that you love it. I say just enjoy it! And congrats!

It sounds beautiful. With six prongs your diamond will have lots of protection. So relax and enjoy your stone!!!

It is a BEAUTIFUL diamond! I just LOVE it! I was trying to insert a picture of the setting but since I am part knuckle head I couldn''t do it. LOL! I did look at my new rock under a 10X loupe and can''t see any area where the very thin girdle looks overly thin. My last diamond had a medium girdle and to be honest they look the same. I guess it is such a small difference that the untrained eye (me) can''t tell what she is looking at. My jeweler is an AGS jeweler and has been around for 90 plus years. I do trust them when they say this is well cut diamond. They also have a warranty that will replace my diamond should I chip it. I guess I was just looking for someone to slap me upside the head and tell me to relax.

Thank you!

I''m relatively new here too Karen and wanted to say welcome! The signature settings at Ben Bridge you''ve linked look gorgeous and I''m sure your diamond is both lovely and well protected in that setting. It is perfectly normal to question your decision after making such a significant purchase, but just gaze at your new ring and enjoy!!!
