Is this okay to wear to a wedding (as a guest)?

I''m in love with this BCBG dress but I''m always very cautious about wearing white to weddings. Is this dress appropriate? It looks like a white blouse tucked into a black skirt but its really one piece.

I personally think it is fine...but some people may disagree...

I agree with neatfreak, I think it is fine.

I don''t see a problem with it.

I think it is fine. If it was ALL white I would say no.

I see no issue with it. It has white but is more professional than frilly and as such seems fine to me.

That''s such a fun dress! If you''re worried about the white, just add a colorful necklace, scarf, wrap, etc.

I think it''s a fabulous dress! Looks very cocktail/evening appropriate to me, it''s not all white, and hey...it''s not all black either (some say it is not appropriate to wear all black to a wedding). I really like it!

Super cute. I think it is fine. I would bring perhaps a wrap of a different color, or colored earrings just to add a bit :) Just my thought....

LOVE the dress though! I may want to wear that to my bridal shower coming up!

Thanks all! I just ordered the dress. I adore it. I''m planning to add color somewhere. I''m thinking bright shoes and clutch.

It''s gorgeous. I think bright would be great for the shoes and clutch.

It''s funny that you posted this particular dress because it was a dress that I seriously considered buying to elope in! I love how chic it looks. However, I tried it on at BCBG a few months ago, and it was snug, and by snug, I mean the skirt portion of the dress. I''m normally a size 0 or 2, and I found that even the size 4 of this dress was a bit snug skirt-wise, but big everywhere else. I think it has to do with how I am proportionally -- I''m 5''3" on a good day with a boy-shaped body (wider waist even though I''m petite) and short torso. I think if you are more proportionate, and tall, then the dress should be amazing on you!

I definitely think that this dress is very "guest" appropriate.

Let us know how it goes when you receive it!

It''s fine to wear! What''s the issue with wearing a little white to a wedding? It''s not like the whole dress is white.

I know what you mean! I went a size up in this one.
