Is this Sapphire too dark?

Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me if this sapphire would look too dark once set? I’d like it in a diamond halo. Thank you!

It depends on what you want the final look to be. Do you have any pics of what your "ideal" color in a ring looks like?

I’d like for it to have a color like this on my finger in darker lighting. Colbalt blue? I don’t want it to look black. Not too light and not too dark. I have a couple sapphires and they are too dark and I don’t want to make that same mistake again. I also don’t want to spend a fortune but want something ‘special’. Thank you!!!

I think the Etsy sapphire you are looking at will be quite a bit darker than your inspiration picture in dimmer light situations.

I think it’s beautiful. It would be the perfect color for mine, although out of my price range. :)

Do you know where I could find one that looks like my inspiration picture?

Some of the vendor pictures we see are really flooded with light. This vendor seems to be using a more normal daylight. It looks close to your preferred color, and is a beautiful blue. Can you ask to see it and return it if it doesn’t suit you?

I wish the listing included photographs of the stone on the hand; I also think the inclusion would be more apparent that the listing's photos indicate; and, yes, I think for me the sapphire would be too dark once set.

However, if you are taken with the stone, the etsy shop has a good return policy so maybe it is worthwhile to buy it and inspect it in hand.

I asked for more pictures and he sent me one and a video. Please give me your honest opinions. He said in the listing there’s an inclusion that’s noticeable but I’m missing it.

What I've circled in red is what I perceive to be an inclusion (screengrabbed from video)

Can you show pictures of the sapphires you already have, for a gauge to go by?

I’d prefer if vendors wouldnt indicate damage or flaws/inclusions that way. As in ‘see the photos’ if the photos aren’t that crisp and zoomed in. It’s like playing where’s Waldo, or assuming if you can’t see them in their particular photo, it’s nothing you should be bothered about. I wish they would point to/circle the area of inclusion or damage in their photo. And then go from there. My experience with this wasn’t with this particular vendor though. Mine was overexposed photos for my eternity band, and ‘see the photos for any damage/wear’ and wouldn’t answer any more detailed either.

Yes these are the two that I have. 6DAF453F-AE50-45AC-BAF0-717805F63D04.jpeg1373453F-44DF-4CD8-BD43-A504BAB74BA7.jpeg

I think the stone you linked, by what I see in their and your photos, will be not as dark as your current ones. I think I’d be curious to what lighting the vendors photos were from and would like to see artificial (incandescent/fluorescent bulb/ whatever you spend your time in) as well.
I think this stone will show more readily like the video screenshot posted by @marymm than the vendors still shot unless under direct focused light.

The ad says:

"...First three listing photos taken under natural, overcast lighting. Last two listing photos taken under LED lighting (typical jewelry store lighting)...."

So this is as blue as it could possibly ever be.

I worry it will be dark but can't say for sure.

Looking at the vendor photo I think it will be lighter than your current stones, 100%.
But I don't think it will be as light as you are hoping (when set) based on your inspiration photo.

Because the brightness is obviously important to you, I would wait for one where you are more sure of the colour. That isn't to say that this stone isn't really pretty. Cos it is :)
