Grandpa is going to be on a scooter, so I''m going to be walking down the aisle with my dress bustled... then have my MOH unbustle it when we get to the altar and spread it out. SO I know I can''t do a catherdal veil, and I''m getting married outside on a lawn anyway so, I probably wouldn''t go that route.

The knot highly recommends this vendor and their price is great for what I''m looking for.

I''m thinking of ordering their cascading veil style with a pencil edge in ivory. I think I''m going to do the wide 108" at bottom and 72" at comb.

I think I''m going to waltz length... unless you all think otherwise. What length do you suggest? I hate my arms and want to avoid drawing attention to them...

Here''s my dress thread: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-started-to-cry.77253/ I think I''m going to customize the veil with left over appliques from the gown scattered at the edges eventually.

Help?

I was going to order my veil from them too! They have so many options, my head was spinning, and that''s why I haven''t ordered one yet!

I can''t find the 108" wide at bottom 72" at comb. Is that a custom cut? In any case, I think 72" at the comb is perfect...it is still a little sheer but proportional to the 108" wide at the bottom. I don''t think the super poof at the comb will be right for your dress...the opaque-ness would detract from the beautiful lace at the top.
Now for the length. How tall are you? Will that length end somewhere around your calves or ankles? I feel like that look could be awkward b/c it cuts the body in 3/4 and it just makes people look short. Even on the 5''10" mannequin, it''s a little awkward. Fingertip length will NOT draw attention to your arms! Shoulder length may call attention to your arms. If you wear any veil draped towards the front, as long as it is elbow length and longer, your arms will be softened by the nature of the veil.

Personally, I think the petite fingertip (35") or the fingertip (42") would be best for your dress b/c it allows the detail of the back and the train to really stand out as you walk down the aisle. That length is also elongating. I think veils should end at your butt or above, OR be cathedral length or longer. Anything in between would visually shorten a person. That''s just my preference, though!

I love your dress

Their options to make your head spin. I''ve interogated quite a few sales associates trying to up sell me on 400 veils that I had an idea at least of the cut I wanted (angel or cascade), the finish I wanted (pencil edge) and that I didn''t want a lot of fullness at the comb. I ended up reconsidering the length, I went a little longer than finger tip, but not as long as my ankles. So I did a 47 length as I wanted my butt covered. I''m 5'' 7" so it should hit the back of my kneesin a cascade. I also spurlged on a rippled edge finish. And hopefully we''ll be able to customize it further from left over apliques from my gown. Oh... I also changed the fullness. I did 52 at the comb 72 (or something) at the base, because I went shorter. Yes, it''s a custom cut, but they don''t upcharge you to death if you do that. Which I appreciate.

Thank you Mandarine! I loved your gown too!
