I am wanting to purchase clip in hair extensions for my wedding day. My hair is layered and about shoulder length - I am going to have my hairstyle similar to the below, but remove the bangs and add a little height to the top (just backcomb and smooth over)

What I would like to know is what type of extensions should I purchase, any recommendations? Obviously I want real hair, because I would like to reuse them many times.

Thanks in advance,

Do you mean a brand recommendation...or something else?

I bought human hair extensions from a kiosk in the mall and am quite satisfied with my purchase. They look natural and match my hair colour exactly.

italiahaircolor: Yes a brand recommendation would be fabulous

I just have no clue on where to start - I don't want to buy some that aren't going to last and the hair easily falls out!

kama_s: We have a stand in the mall here too, I haven't checked them out yet, but maybe I will. I thought buying online might be cheaper, and since I have till July (weddings not till Aug 22) I figured I would exhaust that option first. I will check the mall though, thanks

First of all, I wanted to comment on your "over the internet" comment.

Please, please, please do not do this...please? Promise me you won''t. You''re more than likely going to be disappointed if you do.

Computer monitors often times skew colors, and you need it to match your color spot on, otherwise it''s going to look like a bad wig. I would hands down only buy something you can see in person, even if you have to pay a premium for it. Really, I''m so serious. Most hair companies don''t take returns, so if you do buy online and it''s off (even a shade or too) you''re going to be left with very limited options.

Secondly, I''ve worked with many brands of human hair when styling...it''s all very similar and since you''re wearing your hair up, you don''t really have to be overly concerned with texture or feel. I think asking your stylist what she or he prefers would be a good launch pad. Some stylists are picky, and others will even offer to buy it for you and charge you wholesale. If your stylist doesn''t guide you, and you feel comfortable doing so, post a picture of your hair and I will be able to better direct you to a good brand.

Just be sure whatever you''re buying is human hair because synthetic hair will melt when heat touchs it. Also, another good tip that is very important, don''t buy the hair before you have your final coloring before your wedding if you color hair so it matches perfectly.

Let me know if you need anymore suggestions or advice

ok, ok, ok... I won''t buy them on the internet. I didn''t think it mattered because I was just going to get my stylist to color the extensions to match my own color (we are in the process of going brown to blonde right now). But I will buy them in the store! I will check with my stylist on what she prefers, and I will post a picture this weekend of my hair so you can see it.

Thank you so much for your help!

I buy my extensions from Sally''s Beauty Supply and I LOVE them!! I get so many compliments on them and they match my hair color perfectly! The brand is EuroNext. Here are a couple pics so you can get an idea of what they look like in my hair.
