It''s been ordered....

Well I ordered my dress..a whole 15 months before hand. It looked even better on then the first time I tried it on!!!! I ordered my dress, veil, and tiara/headband and it was all very inexpensive!!! I'm very exctied. I told Fiance that there he can't cancel now!!!

I'd post a picture of it but I can't post anything. It's on www.davidsbridal.com under the David's Bridal Collection, page 12 dress # T8619 should be the last dress on that page.

ETA: Selflove and I are dress twins, faternal...her dress is all white, mine is ivory/champaigne

Congratulations. Ordering the dress is SOOO exciting. I ordered my dress about 13.5 months ahead of the wedding. Now I''m down to 4.5 months to go.

I can''t even BELIEVE it! I think your dress so beautiful. Simple and elegant with just a little feminine touch. When do we get to see it on you?

Thanks MelissaSue! My mom and aunt took some pictures of me when I had it on. I''ll have to get some from here and post them. My other aunt is making a wedding scrap book for me...this is all very exciting.

What color is your friend using? It looks fabulous with a cinnamon bridesmaid dress. Even though my wedding will be in Spring, I''ll probably still use that color.

That''s exactly what I thought about my dress, but my mom really wanted to see it so I gave in and tried it on... Once I put that baby on, that was it.. We all knew that it was "the one".. It looked and felt like it was made for me.

How exciting! I got my dress right after I got engaged, 15 months too. People thought I was crazy but the timing was right. I haven''t tried it on since I bought it though....scary thought.

17 months here! I bought my dress May 05 for my Oct 06 wedding. So glad I did too because I don''t have any stress about finding a dress.

Ladies- nothing wrong with doing it early. Less stressing about it, more time for alterations and more time to concentrate on the other details.

I had my first meeting with the dressmakers shop yesterday and they reacted with such surprise when I said I needed it by Oct. They kept saying ''wow, ordering it really early, aren''t you?"

I like the flower on the ivory/champagne combo much better than it looked on my all white dress.

I bet you could find some fun brooches. Maybe something pearly to match the champagne and then get coordinating accessories?

There are also a lot of flower details like that on other gowns I saw in bridal mags, so I cut out every one I could find, in case the brooch idea didn''t work out (I was gonna have my seamstress do a fabric flower).

Can''t wait to see what you come up with! Have fun with it!

Well I got my head band at Davids Bridal too..it''s got little flowes in it, some fabric ones, crystals and I think some pearls...so one of my ideas is that I could find a brooch that would tie in with that. Or my other thought was to do something like a belt buckle...like Aphi dress is at the waist. (I think it''s her''s) Luckily, I have at the very least 12 months to figure this out and I have a fabulous best friend that''s gay..I have my own Carson from Queer Eye!
