He proposed this weekend... so, even though we''ve already had a date set for the wedding, we''re finally officially engaged.

He originally had plans to do it on this mountain top with a fantastic view of the city, but it rained really hard so he proposed at the most fantastic restaurant I''ve ever been to in my life.
I never thought I''d be SO emotional, especially since I knew it was coming. (I ''accidentally'' felt the ring box when I patted down his jacket that he left in the back seat of the car when he went to go get something for me at a gas station on the way) I know I know... I''m so ashamed.

When he actually proposed.. I totally started hyperventilating and he had to sit and try to calm me down with this panicked look on his face.
But I''m alive and well now.. and here''s the ring!!!

I asked the jeweler to make the band and thin as possible and for six claw prongs.. I think he did a pretty good job.

This is actually the temporary setting because I couldn''t decide what I wanted, so I''m going to get used to the diamond first, then decide what setting will be the best match for it...

By the way, I never looked at your other thread until now. And I must say, I have my own "ring" at home made out of paper as well. OK, actually...I have 3 that I made of various diamond ct. sizes. (I love the larger one

) They aren't as intricate and well proportioned as your paper ring was. Hmmm...looks like I will need to do a little more work.
