Was exposed to pertussis (whopping cough) on New Year''s Eve. Some one with it coughed right in my face. My staff strongly encouraged me to go on antibiotics just in case (which I did), although I am immunized. No symptoms thank goodness.
I have a viral something in early December. I have been able to keep everything else away with good hand-washing. There is some funky stomach bug going around in my area, a little strep, the typical cold. I have also seen a lot more sinus infections and pneumonia compared to last year. I have been giving out more antibiotics and I takes a lot to get antibiotics from me. This is just my little bubble though.
I''m with you bebe! We''re both in the Houston area and are miserable with this wacky weather we''re having. DH and I have been giving the crud to each other for the past few months and I''m sick again now. UGGG!Date: 1/5/2009 2:54:52 PM

Never fails something attacks me either before Christmas or right after. I''m guessing all the stress lowers my immunity. But right now I''m suffering with a cold or allergy attack.
Our weather has been nuts and I contribute being sick to that. This past weekend we had hot, muggy weather. We used the AC. Today, it''s high 40''s and I''m cold.
I''ve decided to nickname myself ''The Snot Slinger''. It''s just awful - where does it all come from, LOL !!!
Ya know, you take 1 medication and it will dry you up, but send everything to your ears. Or you take something else and it plugs up your sinus cavities. Or do what I did and take DayQuil and having it pouring out your nose !!!
