I am considering a reset of my diamond and like their vintage styles.
May I ask those who have bought from Ivy and Rose: over time, what did you think of the setting? Has it held up well?
If it has, do you wear the ring often? Daily?
Thank you for any information you can share. KK

I recently got my first setting from them, a caliber cut halo. There were some QC issues with the first setting and it's being reset (no issues there, mistakes happen and they were responsive and easy to deal with!) but it is quite lightweight and I would not use it for everyday wear. Their all-metal settings may be different, but I suspect, given their aggressive pricing, they are generally careful not to build a setting with any more metal than necessary. My ruby halo is a gorgeous, delicate setting for an occasional ring, and much less expensive than a comparable every-day-wear iteration would have been. PXL_20210623_200201088.jpg

I’ve bought a custom setting before. Workmanship was fine.

I love locally and have been to their store multiple times…their stock settings, however, are extremely lightweight. They are very pretty, but they feel far too light to wear daily.

Thank you, @everygreen and @Cerulean

This is what I want to know. I don't expect this ring will be daily wear, but I also don't want to hesitate to wear it.

I have a stock setting. It's lovely and very lightweight (100% appropriate for the price). I wouldn't suggest it for daily wear if you're not gentle on your jewelry, but the issue is around the shank (it might wear down or go out of round, so might need replacing) and not around the diamond (I'm not worried about losing it), and reshanking isn't a big deal so you might be fine.
