JA claw prongs pics please? And is this oval diamond a keeper?

Hi all

I received my new oval solitaire from JA with the split shank setting. I had requested claw prongs when I ordered and received the standard button prongs. I am in Canada and trying to decide if it is worth the time and hassle to return and have this fixed. My thoughts are:

1. I previously returned a JA ring and applied for my tax back over 2 months ago and am still waiting. I don't want to deal with them again unnecessarily

2. The split shank on that ring was uneven and had a little blob of platinum that looked ugly. This one is much better, but I'd have to get a new ring to get the new prongs. What if the next one is bad again? I'm also thinking there could be an issue with wonky prongs?

3. Does a claw prong from JA cover more of the stone? Does anyone have any pics? I really like a dainty looking claw.

ALSO
Do you think the diamond is a keeper? It's a 1.08 E SI1. Table 60, depth 65.5. No fluorescence, polish and symmetry ex.

1st 2 pics in daylight and 3rd with flash. 1st vid under spotlighting, 2nd in sunlight and final with flash.

Thanks for any responses!

I have a JA ring with claw prongs. The only prong that is not a claw prong is on the tip of the pear. They are done very nicely. Sorry for
the huge pic! I think they were going to charge me for the claw prongs but then realized that the setting I picked already came with
them so there was no up-charge.

Do you have a link to your stone on JA? If so, please post. Did you get help from Pricescopers when looking for your stone?

Ah these are lovely! Thanks for sharing! I think it is definitely worth returning for those if I do decide to keep the diamond. The charge is $50 which I don't mind. I'd mind even less if they had done it first time round!

I did post it on PS and you were my only response. You advised me that it's not a bad stone, but could sparkle more. Here's the diamond link and the post:

Yep, pretty much the same comments that I put in your Oval thread. Its not bad but there are ones out that that probably
sparkle a little more.

I noticed yours did not go dark through the center in bright sunlight. That's a big plus!

The center of ovals usually have the good facets that return light well. It helps to find a stone that when you turn it more nice
facets show up.

These ovals are my favorite. They are really expensive though...

I feel like the stone is a bit “dead”. I think since the mounting is not to your specifications and you are questioning the stone you should return (if possible) and start over. I hate to be “negative” but you asked and I have to be honest.

@tyty333 The one you shared sparkles so much! I prefer a longer oval so it's hard to choose between the shape and sparkle like that. Though these are definitely out of my price range anyway. There definitely is a darkness but I'm not sure if it's a lot? Here are a couple of photos in the sun.

@headlight I appreciate your honesty, thank you! I like this stone but it's definitely not perfect. My fear is that I never find one I think is perfect in my budget. I still haven't got my tax back on the last ring I returned, which isn't ideal.
Are these videos any better? Or does it still look kinda dead to you? I took these when it was at its sparkliest.

I like it a lot, but of course you need to decide are you going to be happy with it.
