Ok so I have been secretly

Lurking around these posts for quite some time now, getting ideas for my wedding (january of 07!

) but never actually registered nor posted until yesterday (temptation got the best of me, lol!)....

I cam across this site searching for people who had gotten married in Mandalay Bay, and I came across some of Ms. Flutter''s posts, so I just kept looking and I was hooked. Alot of posters have such neat ideas for weddings, it''s amazing.

Ok so I figured I would start my own thread to post my planning pics, progress, etc. to organize my thoughts and get advice from everyone who is willing to offer it!

I am getting married in THE Wedding chapel at Mandalay bay in las vegas in late January of 07. It is a destination wedding for me, and most likely about 10 family member and friends will fly out to attend the wedding (I know depressing how many family members are willing to fly out there uh?

). I''m on a tight budget since I''m a recent college grad so I am hosting my reception in the Bayside Buffet at Mandalay bay. From what I''ve heard the food is decent there and it is very affordable for me. It also keeps in tune with the feel of the wedding since the buffet overlooks the same "bay" area that the chapel overlooks as well.

So without anymore chit chatter, here is what I have so far for my wedding:

I already have my dress, although i don''t have pictures of me in it yet I''ll get some to post soon. It is a Maggie Sottero, the name of the style is Felicity.

This is the cake I am going to have (it is not exact, but VERY close! And yes it will have chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite!!

Love the Kirk Kara Charlotte set...a friend of mine has it and it''s divine! I hope you end up getting it!

This is the band my Fiance wants, however we aren''t sure yet if we are going to get them...

The specs for his are:
Platinum
1.53 carat sapphire baguettes channel set.
0.45 brilliant cut diamonds prong set.
Color grade GH, clarity grade VVS1-SI1.

The specs for mine are:

But like I said, we really want these but we haven''t gotten them yet...

Thank you firegoddess! Yes we are in love with it, but he was thinking of just getting perhaps the wedding bands and he''ll owe the the engagement ring because they are pricey and we are just starting out!

Oh well one can only dream and hope! We still have time!!

Now these are the boxes I will put my favors in! (I am still undecided what to put in them, I have some ideas, but once I make up my mind I''ll post what they are). But these are the deffinite boxes! Now the gown boxes will have a royal blue ribbon instead of white to go with the theme colors of my wedding (which are royal blue and white).

So the Kirk Kara set is a "dream set" lol.. Here is my real E-ring... The pictures aren''t that great because I took them with my cell phone...

My FI proposed July 3rd of 2005, and you can''t see but he even engraved his nickname and the date inside!

I like that cake topper! It reminds me of a wedding set I saw at the Rhode Island School of Design student show. It was plain band with a little ball and chain attached.
